  1. I would have no issue with this - although as has been pointed out it is not currently permitted in the rules. Losing one rider would be bad enough but to lose the top 2 certainly doesn't seem like a fair match-up - but that's not Swindon's fault.
  2. Try Robins Farm - you can actually see the stadium from there but you need to drive around the block
  3. Gavan actually contributes some interesting discussion. His Achilles heel is that he can't (or won't) let things said by certain Poole posters go by without responding. This starts a vicious cycle where the Poole mafia know the "buttons to press" and then they act like the victims and try and get him banned. What I see are a collection of Poole posters winding him up deliberately to get a reaction and that to me is a form of bullying. My advice to Gavan and the aforementioned Poole mafia is to put each other on ignore and avoid the temptation to respond when posts are quoted. That way we don't all have to suffer your petty point scoring!
  4. Well it's definitely Harris at Swindon http://swindonrobins.co/news.php?extend.2999
  5. If Swindon win it, the gloss certainly won't have come off. If they win it will be because they deserve it and can only race what's put in front of them! And what if Wolves win - will the gloss have come off for you? Somehow I think not!
  6. Just wanted to add that I am really gutted for Lindgren in the SGPs. The same thing happened to Jason last year so I hope Freddie comes back strong next year. Freddie isn't my favourite rider but he has been loyal to British speedway and it's a shame that he cannot lead the Wolves in the grand final matches in the Premiership.
  7. I'm not really looking for a close, tense thriller - I am looking for Swindon to win and nights like last Monday up to heat 12, I can do without. I am looking for Swindon to build up a big lead tomorrow (20 points would be nice) and finish it off on Wednesday. What I don't need is a Poole fan trying to take the gloss of the title before it is won. Whoever wins will deserve it as we have the top 2 teams from the league campaign. If I was a wolves fan of course I would be gutted but I wouldn't be throwing the towel in just yet. As pointed out previously, Swindon have gone into matches this year without their top 2 and come away with a win - so nothing is certain. COYR
  8. Such a shame for Freddie - best wishes for a speedy recovery. It might be an anti climax for you but not for others - particularly Swindon and Wolves fans. Yes its a blow for Wolves but you cant write off any team in the playoffs (except Poole )
  9. Having just seen the clip I cannot understand how the ref excluded Bjerre. Never 50/50 - it was Lindgrens fault every day of the week!
  10. There was nothing wrong with what he said - he said it was a shame that he was injured and well placed in the SGPs but that the crash was his own fault so he can't feel bad about it (the crash - not the fact that Freddie was injured). I think you may be a bit touchy having just scraped into the final and looking like your top two will be out. With regards to the Tungate incident, as many people have said it was 50/50 - some people thought Thorsell was at fault and some thought Tungate so I don't think anyone is being massively hypocritical at all! Just my opinion This is the bit where fans from every team say their fans are the best. Trying to unbiased, I would say that Zummerzet fans can claim that one!
  11. You know that isn't true. It is definitely an advantage to Swindon if Freddie and Jacob is out but as you saw against Poole, Swindon did their level best to gift it to Poole. Never good to be over-confident (like some Poole fans) because it can easily come back and bite you in the derrière. May the best team win - COYR
  12. Congratulations Wolves - bad luck to BV. It seems that the ref may have got it wrong excluding Bjerre in heat 13 too! Swindon vs Wolves grand final - hopefully a different result to 2009!
  13. He (Brady) is a coming on well (except when riding for Swindon at BV) and should have a bright future.
  14. It depends on who wants it the most and able raise their game. Will it be Wolves or BV joining Swindon in the final? It's a hard one to call - 13 points should be doable to overturn and, if the weather is kind, it should be a belter. I would still like to see BV in the final but wouldnt be too sad to see Wolves go through.
  15. Yes - 4 teams qualified for the play-offs therefore their riders are ineligible to guest. The joys of English pedantry! If you apply your interpretation to the finalists only then it effectively reads that a rider on one team can't guest for the other team - now that's just silly! Hans (or any other Poole rider) cannot guest for any other playoff team.
  16. Don't know what relevance your comment has but that would be Swindon asset Jason Doyle
