  1. How can it be that Morris is on a point less than Nicholls in the CL (for which Nicholls had no average) when Morris has a (much) better PL average. The rules continue to be a joke!!
  2. You are definitely on the mend and the wind-up again. I am not jealous at all thanks very much, if you cant see that you have 4 riders on "false" averages then there is no hope for you. Yes - Matt has done his homework, yes it is within the rules but no - it doesn't make it right!
  3. The are the bookies favourites and with no less than 3 ringers in the team (4 if you include Noddy) - it would be the biggest choke in speedway history if they don't win!
  4. A designated thread? Really? Well it started off in the Poole thread which is where I read it and responded. I think it’s a bit disingenuous of you with regards Gavan so you must be on the mend. Just my opinion and back to speedway - if Poole don’t win the league at a canter then I will be very surprised.
  5. They aren't employed until next month so not as if they can be forced to attend
  6. Busy boy - as also pictured in Glasgow bonding with the team yesterday (that's when the picture was tweeted).
  7. Two points a meeting in the Premiership isn't going to cover his costs I would have thought. He needs to ride at the lower level for his confidence and earning potential to afford to ride in the Premiership I'd have thought.
  8. I don't agree - the last two seasons he has started off slowly in the first half of the season and improved in the second half (although didn't get to see out the second half of last season - which is why his average is lower). Remember, he started at KL on a 12+ average which was too high for Poole. If his average was in free fall,he would have had a much lower starting average and KL would have had more points to play with.
  9. If an error has been made - then it would need to be corrected. If that means signing a new rider then so be it.
  10. The problem with the top 2 teams from last season (Swindon and Wolves) is that they look weak at reserve this season. Only time will tell if the teams that start the season are the ones to finish it.
  11. Probably because they were laughing so much (like the rest of us) when bringing in the ringer for the playoffs spectacularly backfired
  12. Strong side at home maybe but I think they will struggle away from home. I will be amazed if they make the play offs and are not fighting over the wooden spoon.
  13. I agree. The team that finished top of the pile with a run of 17 straight wins during the season.
  14. It's, buts and maybes! The history books show Swindon as champions
  15. Now that teams are just about finalised, my prediction is: Top 4: 1 Poole, 2 Belle Vue, 3 Swindon, 4 Leicester. When it gets to the playoffs, it will depend on what changes have been made as to who will be the champions although I think the teams will complete the league in the listed positions. Just missing out: 5 Wolves, 6 Somerset Wooden spoon battle: 7 Rye House, 8 Kings Lynn
  16. Give him a chance to ride first
  17. Why single Morris out? He rode in the CL last season so is allowed to ride. I agree that ALL riders with a PL average of a particular value shouldn't be allowed to double-up (currently 6 I believe) and not just those that didn't ride CL last year but I think it is unfair to single out individual riders.
  18. I totally agree. Their justification is that Bomber rode in the CL last season and Nicholls didn't. The fact that Bomber has a higher PL average counts for nothing (apparently). More self interest
  19. Are you stood right next to the silencers because I agree with Orlov and tellboy - there is less smell than I remember as a youngster
  20. Of course Wolves and Swindon look weaker because they had the highest averaged teams at the end of last season and were forced to lose one of their top 2 - as have BV.
  21. You are beginning to sound like a Poole fan! No one said it was anyone's fault and we all know these riders were available so other teams could have signed them. It is an astute piece of team building by Matt Ford - all within the rules. But on those averages, they are ringers and their averages can only go one way in this weakened league!
  22. And what’s wrong with that? He is the world champion after all!
  23. On current form, I believe that Lindgren is the better rider despite what your backside says. It's irrelevant anyway because PUK is riding here this year and not Freddie. BTW - past form is no indication of current/future performance. In terms of like ability though, I would take PUK every time!
