  1. Captain Pugwash theme would be good
  2. Its a bit early to be talking about changes. Riders have bad nights sometimes - hopefully not all on the same night.
  3. What do you mean - just let them have a team average higher than the other teams because someone was injured? Obviously not as box office as Vaculik but Bjerre has good experience of the tracks in this country and did well last season for BV.
  4. And the other 10% is a secret ingredient?
  5. He won't be at Redcar because he is injured and as he is an asset of KL they have "first dibs" on him anyway - nothing ridiculous about it!
  6. Swindon won't get carried away with that result and I think it is just down to the start of season "rustiness" for certain Poole riders. Swindon caught Poole with their trousers down and that won't happen easily again with the team that Poole have assembled. Who would have thought Josh would fail to score and Brady would only score 3? At the start of seasons, you often get shock results and I think that is what last night was. Rosco did brilliantly putting Nick and David together for heat 1 - both are on-form and when you start with a 5-1, the team's confidence grows. Swindon's top 5 looks pretty solid but they will have off-nights (hopefully not all at the same time like Poole last night). Well done Swindon and commiserations to Poole.
  7. He doesn't like wet tracks - we all know that and he will have some stinkers for Swindon in the wet!
  8. To the over cocky Poole fans (you know who you are) - your boys took one helluva beating! Maybe your mighty team isn't as good as you thought it was and hopefully you have come back down to earth with an almighty bang! Hahahahahahahaha! Well done to the Robins - you certainly showed those pesky pie rats! Every other teams fans will also enjoy this moment!
  9. Let's not get too excited - it's a great start but it's not over yet! COYR
  10. I know Leicester have had problems at #1 for a few seasons but I wouldn't say they wanted a misery to replace Vaculik
  11. Not forgetting Rye House who wait until they are near retirement age
  12. ..and the most serious crashes seem to happen in Poland - Darcy Ward, Lee Richardson etc. So the Poles can't really take the moral high ground!
  13. Very lucky indeed. In fact, double lucky as Swindon have agent Kildemand riding
  14. No it’s not! Just because you say it doesn’t make it true.
  15. Only if you announce another self imposed sabbatical
  16. You are a piece of work! Is it a crime to mention he isn't Polish or because you were wrong? Obviously i hope the non-Polish Vaculik is ok!
  17. How does "if Poole don't win it will be a shock" translate to sitting on the fence?
  18. Their initial declaration only had one over 8 - nothing in the rules to say you can’t redeclare with more than one. With regards your second point, KB would have been in if it wasn’t for the other rule. Management Team can rule so no rulebreaking! Do you really believe Ricky Wells is an adequate replacement for Stevie? Or are you happy for BV to be handicapped?
  19. Rotten luck for Stevie - he has made so much progress the last few years and is irreplaceable on that average. I think the one over 8 rule was only for the starting line-up and because BV have a genuine injury, I would be happy for Kenneth Bjerre to replace him with Smith at reserve to replace Jye. its only fair IMHO in the best interests of speedway.
  20. Not a wheel turned and already crowing - some things never change! The magnificent 7?? - that made me laugh! It doesn't matter how good they look (and don't know how relevant looks are - Kurtz is a ginger ) it is how they perform on track that is important . Over confident as usual!
