  1. At the after match press conference at Swindon both Ellis and Morris said that there were some tracks they didn't like. Both said Lakeside (Eastbourne and Rye house) and they are both now riding for Lakeside and scoring well. So just because a rider doesn't like a track doesn't mean that they can't get used to it.
  2. How is a track slightly aggressive then? Does it chuck up stones at the riders? All clubs have their resident nutters - that's just life - as long as they don't go over the top it is usually just friendly banter.
  3. I don't think it was ever in doubt that Poole would make the play-offs (despite a poor start to the season, they are only 3 points off a play-off spot). As BV72 has said, the expected changes will make them stronger alongside underperforming riders finding their form.
  4. It certainly wasn't the best meeting shown on Sky - nor was it the worst. KL keeping it close kept it interesting. Robert Lambert and Eddie Kennett were the best of those on show (I didn't think I'd be saying that of EK given his form this year). In the end Rye deserved their win and KL were unlucky to go home without a consolation league point.
  5. I expected a closer meeting with the Rebels having a few ex-Robins and others that ride Blunsdon well. Well done to Nick - a paid max including 2 wins over WC Doyle. Great result!
  6. A very unexpectedly close meeting with Poole unlucky to lose it in the end! Looks like certain Poole riders have sorted themselves out - just in time for them to strengthen - interesting!
  7. Has the BSPA approved Starke in the team - even if it is only for a couple of meetings?
  8. He can't guest for Stefan or James because his average is higher. Poole have re-declared their team with him in it - and will do the same when Klindt comes along.
  9. Not a surprise that Klindt will be joining the pie rats!
  10. What is clear is that he is not cover for Nielsen as his average is higher. Therefore, the team has to be redeclared (and approved by BSPA) to accommodate Auty. Expect further team changes and Auty might be one to make way (for Klindt?)
  11. Neither of which are direct replacements and only possible because of averages dropping elsewhere in the team. It’s not fair to compare.
  12. He’s had a full season in the top league and part of a successful Championship club - so a bit disrespectful to refer to him as rubbish. With the other riders signed, there was only a couple of points left to play with and Shanes was the best of the available bunch.
  13. If you sign a 2 point rider, you can’t say he is rubbish if that’s what he is scoring. If he was a 3 or 4 point reserve then that’s the average you would expect. A 2-3 pointer doesn’t suddenly become 3-4 points overnight and given time, Shanes possibly would have improved - but he wasn’t given enough time to show any improvement and became a scapegoat for a massively underperforming team
  14. To be fair (and bring some balance) they are only 2 points off a playoff place!
  15. It is in the Adver http://www.swindonadvertiser.co.uk/sport/speedway/16245723.Robins_struggled_to_get_dialled_in_on__concrete__Rye_House_track__says_team_manager_Rossiter/ Swindon have KL next.
  16. Will have to wait for Rye House to drop EK again. Lahti is going well in Europe this season apparently - just like he was last season - just not consistently for Poole.
  17. The rest of the league are worried now
  18. I disagree - the Rye House team has been built to be strong at home. Sadly, they do not seem to do so well away from the tight Hoddeson track.
  19. Still lowering averages? Some things never change for the pie rats
