Premiership - Swindon v Rye House • 14/06/18

Shocking performance from Swindon tonight against a team that hasn’t performed well at Blunsdon this year - until now! Having to use a TS at home against such a poor team just shows you can’t take anything for granted. Looks like the track preparation played a big part but RH deserved more than their 1 point. -
With Holder not riding this season - does that not mean he has to have a year out before re-applying for a visa - which is what I think happens with other Aussies. So it will be 2020 before he can ride here again?

Half a season -
You don’t have to be an expert in track preparation to have the opinion that the track is impacting the quality of racing and crowd levels. It is down to the promoters to serve up a surface that allows great racing, great entertainment and for crowd levels to increase!

No - but that’s not my point. He is a worthy British U21 champion and British Champion - he went through the card on Monday and fully deserved his win. That win alone shows there is no better British rider to support Woffinden. My point was that Woffinden was the star and Robert (ably) provided a supporting role. -

Robert did very well in the SoN and is having a good season but let's put it into perspective - he scored 8, 7 and 4 from the rides he had over the 3 days of the competition. I know he is U21 and those are good scores but they don't support the "big up" you are giving him about getting big offers thrown at him from all angles! I hope he does get the big offers but best to keep your feet on the ground for now. -
Good signing - he looked good at the British Final. Surprised no one has snapped him up before now TBH. I know he is a bit wild and injury prone but you can't fault his commitment.
-
Congratulations to Robert Lambert - 18 point maximum and fully deserved British Champion crown.

Love him or loathe him but Tai was emperious last night - he was untouchable and team rode brilliantly. So glad he is riding for Team GB again. Felt sorry again for Cook - his only ride was off gate 4 and I would be surprised if he got a ride today because Tai and Robert look a good pairing. I certainly didn't expect Team GB to be leading at the half way stage - more of the same tonight please. -
All hail Matt Ford! For doing what should have been done properly first time round!
-
Interesting that Klindt is getting a Poole race suit made (and looking for sponsors) - did he not get the memo about it being bibs this season at Poole?
-
Or even Kai Huckenbeck
-
And then he forks out loan fees for Worrall, Kildemand and Nielsen - seems odd with all those assets!
-
No one wants any club to close but it is a sport dying on its @rse -unless there is some radical surgery
-
That’s really working out well - don’t you think?

Speedway of Nations? Can’t see it lasting long and not as good as World Team Cup. Total borefest packed with lesser riders! -
Surely not? If so, Starry can replace him as he seems to have been talking track preparation for most of the season
-
That’s really bad luck for the Rockets and Panthers and more so EK. Given the team vulnerabilities, I can’t see the Rockets going with guests. Ben Barker to replace him?
-
Ok so Cook is a bit hit and miss and hasn't got the consistency yet for a top-level rider but he is in the SGPs on merit and easily qualified for this year's GP Challenge and deserves his place in Team GB SoN. If he can get his level of consistency to match his passion then he can expect a successful few years ahead.
-
The way Klindt is riding at the moment in the Championship - he will fit in nicely in this team of under-achievers. Can't see him turning fortunes around but will maybe spur on a few others in the team!
-
Not forgetting Justin Elkins who was a great for Swindon and went off the boil when he went to Poole

I thought that Glyn was supposed to be a great track man. As said above by flagrag it would be interesting to hear from him - because something is smelling strongly of fish here
