  1. As has been said previously Poole cheated in the final by using Nick Morris in the second leg. They had an opportunity to win it fair and square but they chose not to. They can crow all they want but at the end of day, Nick’s score should be expunged and KL are therefore the true champions.
  2. Not a lot - when there are issues with regards to having a stadium
  3. Maybe he’s been booked to cover Holder and it’s RR for BWD?
  4. Kings Lynn won nothing - they topped the league that’s all (sadly)
  5. I don’t accept that - he just didn’t ride as well as he has this season - this May be due to machinery but certainly not an agent for Poole
  6. Record books should also show that Poole fielded an illegal rider in the second leg - whose score should be expunged (as Poole chose to cheat rather than use RR which I believe they would then have won fairly) meaning that Kings Lynn are the true champions!
  7. What about the other 27 riders that rode for Poole this season? I don’t require/desire a response!
  8. Well that is definitely incorrect. This season is over and the value of their Rider “assets” is exactly £0 as they have no riders under contract. Tai may be a 3x world champion but he is worth nothing to Wolves if he doesn’t ride in the UK! he isn’t actually worth anything if he does ride - except if he goes on loan, the BSPA deem that they can claim a loan fee!
  9. “Assets” that you believe have a perceived value have no value at all under the Bosman ruling. If they have no long term contract then they are not assets. Speedway has been flouting this law for years and it is illegal. It takes just one rider to challenge the asset system and it falls apart. Anyone interested in purchasing a speedway club should bear that in mind! Commercial partners may have some value depending on what their contracts say.
  10. No one would be interested then EDIT - maybe in the tractor
  11. Absolutely spot on. It’s all well and good have a stable of SGP riders as “assets” but if they can’t (or won’t) ride in the UK, they have no value whatsoever.
  12. Oh the irony - but no one needs to follow rules now as supremely demonstrated last night!
  13. Your pub analogy is fundamentally flawed because one pub does not depend on the existence or otherwise of another. - whereas a speedway club does depend on other clubs. No point in being well supported if you have no one to race against. Also, a lot of people tend to pick and choose meetings they attend depending on who they are racing against and what competition it is for e.g. the KO Cup fails to attract the same level of support as league racing and some people do not bother going to see some of the weaker teams either. The business model for speedway is a precarious one in the current climate which is why there won’t be a big queue of interested parties IMHO.
  14. That’s not fair on Lambert - he has many years ahead of him
  15. Ford said last night it was available for anyone to make him an offer. In the current economic climate, there won’t be a queue of people looking to take it off his hands. Speedway as a sport in the UK is on its knees - anyone would be mad to invest in a speedway club - unless they had very deep pockets and were prepared to lose money!
  16. What are those two muppets on about - he was on the white line not over it!!
  17. I see that Nick Morris is still in the Poole team - cheating scumbags! There is no rule that allows this. There is still time for them to sort it out!
