  1. Given the likes of my post to yours I think it is you that needs to work it out!
  2. Why would stadiums be empty on GP nights? I watch very few things “live” at transmission time and much prefer to record and watch on delay. This allows me to skip past Adverts , replays and endless studio chats. I’m sure a lot of people feel the same way
  3. Which is why their valuations are ludicrous! Someone mentioned £500K for Poole - for what? The rights to promote speedway in that area? It only takes one rider to challenge the asset system for it to be deemed illegal (and therefore no value in club asset terms)
  4. Interesting that Swindon’s “traditional” race night is a Saturday but were forced to go to Thursdays about 15 years ago for the sake of the greyhounds.
  5. Wouldn’t read too much into Morra going to Dubai - after all he was part of the Poole team in the finals. I would be surprised to see him back at Swindon next year (after having knocked 2points off his average) but a steal on that average and Wolves fans seem certain he is heading to Monmore Green next season.
  6. Rider of the year - Robert Lambert Most impressive team - Somerset Team rider of the season - Troy Batchelor One to watch - Dan Bewley Bulldog award (Best British rider) - Robert Lambert Meeting of the season - BV vs Somerset on Sky Surprise of the season - Kings Lynn Underperformers (Team) - Swindon Unluckiest rider- Martin Vaculik Newcomer of the season - Krystian Pieszczek
  7. Your post says a lot about you as an individual
  8. That’s the point - it doesn’t expire. For example, you get a license to promote speedway at Poole Speedway - that stops anyone else doing the same - and devaluing your product. If anyone wants to promote in Coventry then Mick Horton currently has the license - unless someone buys it off him - following the BSPA rules.
  9. Because promoters have a license to promote in the given area - to stop “pop-ups” and ensure that there is some value in holding a BSPA license
  10. Great days when Swindon dropped down previously - lots of different teams and continuity of fixtures
  11. It’s kind of worrying that you are trying to deflect from Poole’s wrong doing as a means of justifying what Poole did! What evidence do you have that the BSPA chairman backed Poole into a corner - the very same Poole promoter who doesn’t take any cr@p from anyone - until now - and you expect everyone to believe it? it doesn’t matter who’s idea it was the fact is that it was Poole who broke the rules and not KL! And the sad thing is I believe Poole would have won it with a legal team in the second leg but they chose to cheat rather than play by the rules!
  12. KL fielded a legal team in both legs and broke no rules!
  13. You are wrong! I have said several times that if Poole had used RR or an eligible guest then they would have deserved their win. Instead, they chose to cheat and use an ineligible guest. You don’t see me calling you names either or being personal! What I can’t stand is cheating - and it would be same if Swindon had cheated too!
  14. Totally necessary and totally true. Any one who benefits from breaking/ignoring the rules is a cheat in any sport - no different in speedway!
  15. A perfect match for the Poole “Cheating Scumbag” Pirates
  16. Hope the local businessman has deep pockets because he isn’t going to make any money from speedway in its current state
  17. The averages are clearly shown on the BSPA website. No matter how you choose to wrap it up - Morris was an ineligible guest at KL. It doesn’t matter who agreed to what - it wasn’t allowed according to the rules. The same way that Somerset couldn’t sign Harris because his average was 0.01 over - the rules don’t allow it!
  18. So let’s assume the situation where Kings Lynn fielded an ineligible rider in one leg of the final and Kings Lynn went onto win by less than the points scored by the ineligible rider on aggregate. Do you think the likes of SS, Starman and Lisa C would just accept it and congratulate the “better” team? I think not - but anyone who thinks that of Poole is a hater, chomping on sour grapes or has an agenda! Double standards as always!
  19. Apart from BV (and possibly Somerset), I cant remember a decent televised meeting this year
  20. Apparently Poole are ok - so we can all rejoice it is worrying times that even with a diluted product, clubs still struggle to balance their books. Without radical, back to basics action, British speedway will continue its long lingering path to extinction
  21. I agree it’s a risk but Poole were up for it and would easily have scored what Nick scored - and possibly more and would have been deserving champions
  22. Kings Lynn did not cause anything - the rules (as was) permitted them to use Adam Ellis in the first leg at Poole - they didn’t (and still don’t) allow Poole to use Nick Morris at Kings Lynn. I don’t have any agenda either but what I can’t stand is a team (any team - including Swindon) that benefits from a blatant disregard of the rules. As I have said, Poole could have legally used RR and won with a legal team - and I would have congratulated them for that. However, they chose to include an ineligible rider according to the rules and a team that benefits from ignoring the rules are cheats! QED
