  1. ARRRGGHHH!! Can we rename this thread "SS - stubborn in the extreme?" I can't believe this thread is still going either
  2. That's rich!! Look at the Poole team this year - nothing outside the rules but you had the same with Darcy Ward - and others with manipulated averages e.g. Bjarne Pedersen! I would be quite happy for Pawlickito start on an assessed average because he hasn't ridden enough meetings to get a proper average- SIMPLES!!
  3. Nice argument - except Madsen was at reserve!! And I don't think there is anything wrong in using your #8 for any team rider!!
  4. Im a Swindon fan and we definitely didn't have 20 riders last year! I think you are confusing me with a Poole fan! I also supported that the fact that teams can change their teams rather than stick with the same starting 1-7 where SS is trying to claim a moral victory! I think you should read my post again before replying!
  5. That'll be the same 1-7 that choked when it really mattered? I have said before I don't understand what the emphasis is on the same starting 1-7 - Wolves fans used it last year t5o gain some moral high ground but the rules allow you to change your team! You are really showing yourself up now with all the sour grapes. As I have said before I believe that the team that finishes top of the league should be the league champions and the play-off winners are the play-off champions but those aren't the rules that all teams signed up to. I felt the same last year when Swindon did the same but like it or not - you have to move on because you are digging yourself a very deep hole. I have also said that I think Poole were the best team this year by a country mile but they didn't do it when they needed to - same as Swindon last year and in 2007.
  6. No rules were broken and it IS sour grapes (and very poor spelling!) no matter how many EL promoters Matt Ford cites he should remember that "what goes around comes around" and he is the last person I would expect to take the moral high ground. As posted earlier, Coventry used their number 8 in a meeting which they are perfectly entitled to do. If Poole had the opportunity to do the same (or any other team), they would do whatever they could (within the rules) to gain an advantage. My advice is "Get Over It"!!
  7. I have to say - what a watered down field. If I had paid £20 to get in plus travelling - I would have felt well short-changed!!
  8. What an absolute con for the supporters. The field is nothing better than you should get for the ELRC and for that you have to pay a minimum of £25. The normal price for an EL meeting is £15 so that the means the remaining £10/head for the 5000 packed out stadium will fund a minum of £50,000. It's hardly a great gesture from Poole when the fans have to pay through the nose. Good bit of marketing but you can keep your spin thanks.
