  1. Looks like Batch not too happy with someone according to twitter - I ain't repeating it! Maybe he's been told he's on his way too?
  2. Sorry to hear about Steady from his tweet. I think he showed in the play-offs what he is capable of and he will surely come back and show us what a mistake we have made releasing him. I'm sure it wouldn't have been an easy decision to make for the promotion and I wish Steady all the best with his new club (just not at Blunsdon ) Now on Swindon website http://www.swindonrobins.co/news.php?extend.1854.1
  3. Why wouldn't you use Fisher's actual average over an assessed conversion? Just a question because I think it just shows another loophole that makes a joke of the sport
  4. Love is in the air Everywhere I look around Love is in the air Every sight and every sound
  5. Except we've signed Morris that'll be the missing #4
  6. I think it was a mistake for him to go back to Wolves - he should have stayed with us! Very surprised Wolves can't fit him in as he is a steal on his average. He is a solid second string so I'd be surprised if he started off at reserve for anyone on a 5.68 average.
  7. Woohoo - very good start to team building . Looks like Poole not so attractive after all Do we get the British discount on his average too??
  8. You are assuming a level playing field. Unfortunately, other teams will strengthen (!?!?!?!) to the new points limit so the bar is effectively raised (!?!?!?!?) - in which case if we stay the same (which we can't because of the points limit) we effectively fall back. Having said that, you need a good balance to the team - some solid scorers and some improvers. A team full of "potential improvers" is a mighty big risk if they don't fulfil that potential. Also, picking up on Darcia's point about Troy oversleeping for an evening event - does this suggest that he's been told we can't use him next year? If that's the case then I can understand his non-appearance and, if not, it doesn't show much respect for the club or fans - just my opinion.
  9. And the team will be sporting purple kevlars on their travels The Excalibur Robins - has a winning ring to it
  10. Why would anyone want THJ in their team - so unreliable - a bit like Zabik!
  11. They don't double up in pairs anymore. With regards Bridger - no thanks
  12. I would still like to see Hans back next year. As well as having strength in depth, one thing I learned about this season was how necessary it is to have a decent number 1 - and Hans was indeed that (especially as he didn't start out as no 1). I think his dedication, experience and advice to the rest of the team can make a good team into a great team - as was shown this year. I will be sad if he has to move on
  13. 2nd = First loser! As you know, Morris was entitled to ride for Britain and, because he was mucked about, he chose to ride for Australia - end of! Now can you move on now?
  14. Still chomping on the loser's sour grapes I see
  15. Or not - now that a precedence has been set!
  16. When he's had the best (Swindon) why would he settle for sloppy seconds (Poole) ?
  17. I wouldn't mind Bomber as he is such a trier but he really needs to get out the gate on a par with everyone else because he leaves himself so much to do from the gate. If it was a choice of Bomber, Batch or Andersen then that would be a hard one and Bomber would probably be my third choice.
  18. And I see where you are coming from. How about Patch gives Glasgow £2K to cover his airfares? As you can guess, I am not a fan if the asset system since, as we learned this year in particular, a rider will ride wherever they want
  19. And what exactly did Glasgow do to command a big fee? That's why the asset system is wrong, wrong, wrong! Glasgow has been sold so why do you say that Glasgow will need the cash to help them? We could all do with money to help us but we usually have to earn it! BTW - being from Glasgow, I have a soft spot for my home town club so my comments are general comments not just specific to them
  20. I'm surprised with Wolbert on your list - when I saw him this year he was no better than a junior the first time and a little better the second time. What about Magic? Did he not pull any rabbits out the hat for you? And no U21 championship to worry about!
  21. It must be nearly Christmas then as PP thinks its late November - my calendar says October
