  1. You never know with speedway - anything can happen! Except maybe BV putting a decent team together from what's left out there
  2. Interesting read http://speedwaygp.com/news/article/2227/hans-panthers-messed-me-about
  3. Only because of the intransigence of Rick Frost
  4. That would be Rick Frost when the courts rule in favour of Batch and against Peterborough for preventing him from earning a living! Having said that though - Patch may make an offer to buy him for the £6k he put on the table for Hans!
  5. To stop others signing him? In Batch's case, only Swindon and BV can accommodate now and I'd be surprised if he wants to go to BV. If Peterborough want a transfer and no one has taken this up by March 1st then he can go on loan. Otherwise you have a rider who wants to ride but is being prevented from doing so - the courts would love that! Just because someone wants to sell doesn't mean anyone has to buy - especially if there is no money to buy him - simples!
  6. Oh right - so you don't want to apply that rule because it doesn't suit you
  7. Batch can go on loan if not signed before - according to the BSPA rules!
  8. One thing is consistent about Panthers fans - they use the rules to defend the indefensible as if they are the paragons of virtue. I have posted a number of times of a situation where Panthers didn't follow the rules you so want everyone to follow - and no one has posted an acceptable answer to justify their actions. The rules state that if a club isn't planning on using an asset, the club they last rode for on loan has first refusal of their services - yet Peterborough allowed Coventry to speak to Hans and not Swindon - a clear breach of the rules. So before you quote rules - think again - all clubs are guilty of applying or ignoring rules to suit their situation and the holier than thou stance doesn't wash just as it didn't during the winter of discontent
  9. We are a proper club and became one a long time ago! That'll be the "assets" not in your team that you are referring to The same ones who won the league last year when Peterborough couldn't make the play-offs. You talk like you own these riders and the truth is they don't want to ride for Peterborough and would rather ride for a proper club who didn't need tactical rides to steal the win away from the rightful champions Reading In case you don't know (and that is very clear) - you don't need to buy riders - that's what loans are for
  10. The rules of the BSPA are such that if he isn't signed by march 1st then he can be loaned
  11. A lot happens in 8 years! Can't imagine anyone paying £50k for a rider nowadays. I would have thought £10k was fair considering his age but I don't believe in the asset system so "free" works for me
  12. Here we go again http://www.swindonrobins.co/news.php?extend.1879.1 Show me it - put up or shut up!! But NKI is having a third season loan to KL so precedent has been set!
  13. We knew that well before Christmas when he signed for his Polish club
  14. Aggressive ?? You need to get out more
  15. But KL didn't have to buy NKI (after 2 seasons on loan) and Poole didn't have to buy Miedzinski - so is it the same?
  16. I've thought about it and came up with the name of Rick Frost
  17. Have to agree with Foreverblue, this season's Kings Lynn's ex-Robins side looks a certainty for the play-offs and who knows - they could win it!
  18. Can rely on you to have a pop at Swindon
  19. It's amazing what you can do by editing someone's post to suit your argument For someone who bangs on about the rules 24/7, you definitely break them! Bringing the sport into disrepute? You're having a giraffe
  20. Seems like a good idea to me Just like every other promoter who cherry picks the rules in place including Peterborough (letting Coventry speak to Andersen and not Swindon clearly breaks the rules as Patch pointed out)
  21. So the Peterborough fans would rather see two of their assets sit out the season as a matter of principle. The rules allow "assets" to go out on loan if they are not included in their parent club's plans - as was shown for NKI who is going to KL for a third year!! No wonder they don't want to ride for Peterborough
