That'll be because of the BOGOF deal at the BSPA - buy Hans and get Batch free
-
Not forgetting Gathercole or stay at home Sedgmen or even Adrian Miedzinski! Isn't Moose a Swindon asset too?
-
Well it's raining quite hard here - about 10 miles from Blunsdon so seems like the right decision
-
The advertising for this meeting says that Middlo is tracking a strong team. If that's a strong team then we shouldn't bother with the SWC this year.
-
And that is your prerogative! I haven't blocked you because even though you tend to have a different opinion from me I respect that you have an opinion and occasionally like the odd post. But you won't see this because I'm blocked It's probably not an excellent forum for you because you block people who don't agree with you. Here was me thinking that the forum is about debating.

Pot, Kettle, Black!
-
So who's missing that would be in the actual British team (apart from Tai Woffinden who is in the NZ SGP)?
-
No - I liked Jason
-
Respect? I said I wouldn't miss him - given his years in exile - how is that disrespectful?
-
Thats original! Thats a surprise - you disagreeing! Explain to everyone why it is reasonable! You have a rider who you do not want to use - why should any club purchase him when the rules state that he should be available on a loan? When Peterborough stop playing silly beggars then we will comply with buying Nick Morris I'm sure but the Peterborough bully boy tactics are delaying this! : rolleyes:

Can't say I'll miss him - given his years in exile!

You forgot Blupanther - which is probably why he liked your post

What are you talking about?

*YAWN* Bored!!

We already have 50/50 tickets (50% goes to winner, 50% to club) which usually nets between £150-£200 or more so getting free admission for the next home meeting is a little cheap - but good suggestion. U11s tend to spend a little time watching a few races (and getting the bug) and playing for the rest of the time. To introduce a £1 charge for all U11 is a backward step IMHO (even although some clubs have charged more than this for some time e.g. Poole) because for an average family it is an increase of £2-£3 added to the 50p parking, 50p on the programme and whatever else has been added for drinks and burgers, chips and hot dogs it is an increase of about £5 so I think this will tip the balance for those attending or not. Huge own goal I'm afraid. I was thinking about going to the "filler" next week but won't bother now!

Plymouth?
-
It's a no brainer for him because no one else wanted him at EL level. Coventry and Swindon cast off
-
I have to say I'm with Chalkie regarding the parking - who can justify a 50% increase in these tough times when most people are getting very small (if any) pay increases? I used to park at the stadium for free and then, all of a sudden a few years back, they started charging and forcing you to park where they want you to go - first at the back and then at the front - when all I want to do is park in the middle where I did for many years without issue. Now this year it has increased 50% - and what do you get for that? NOTHING! I'm afraid these H&S jobworths really take some of the gloss off of the experience for me. Add to that the 20% rise in the programme and having to pay for U11s last night - not happy! Just looked on the website and it seems that U11s will have to pay every meeting - definitely not happy that this wasn't publicised. Won't be taking my son and his friends now - so there goes the fans of tomorrow

I got that I only really had a problem with Scott when he rode for Swindon - he had a much better year at Coventry last year
-
Just to clarify - it was too cold to wait for the rostrum. Scott actually rode very well - winning his first three rides quite easily. You have to remember though that this was a season opener and most were just blowing the cobwebs away so not truly representative. I agree with AO - very processional apart from heat 15 which was great. Zengi looked very poor though - so hopefully he is just getting dialled in and will do well this year. Batch had his usual start to the season too - a string of thirds.
-
Definitely not!

Went to the Bob Kilby meeting tonight and it will take a while for me to thaw out. It may just be me, as I was wrapped up like Nanook of the North, but do the bikes sounds different this year? The definitely sounded muffled to me with my hat and scarf on so can't be sure
-
Then you would have had nothing to moan about with your righteous holier than thou attitude that Rick Frost can do no wrong
-
Apparently so according to the website - 36 pages when all you need is a race card http://www.swindonrobins.co/news.php?extend.1908.1
-
You not worked it out? IMHO - It was a test to see if Peterborough seriously wanted to use Hans or not and surprise, surprise - they didn't Less than a week to go for my first fix of Speedway 2013 - hope it warms up and stays dry!
