The silence from the promotion in the Patch situation is absolutely contemptible! It appears Patch is nursing a hangover while the BSPA hold their AGM. Still no confirmation from the club and I think it is a total lack of respect for the fans to keep us in the dark!!
-
Really? Too petty for words!!
-
I suppose it depends on the immigration dept. Can't see an immigrant being allowed to stay in this country not contributing through taxes and being eligible for free schooling and healthcare etc for extended periods of time - but there may be exemptions for sports people??
-
I don't think anyone is trying to hold the sport to ransom - least of all Noddy! I suppose they will be offered a package and, if it's not acceptable, they will race elsewhere
-
You got this week's winning lottery numbers too?
-
That's not what it says - it says Rosco would like him back in the Swindon team next year - dependent on the AGM!
-
 If all things were equal going into next year then of course we would like to keep Hansi - but it looks like teams will have to reduce quite considerably and I think it would be the right decision to offload him (as you so eloquently put it!). With regards a souvenir - no thanks - I already have a picture of him holding the EL trophy! But at this point in time - its just speculation! I have to say |I quite like the look of the team ER suggested for the reduced team strengths.
-
Doyle has already tweeted that he won't be back at Brum next season - and thanked all the fans.
-
Oh dear - I hope it doesn't become that watered down. Although King has shown that he can hold down a heat leader spot, he isn't a number 1 - IMHO

OMG! I actually agree with Crump99 on something - better go for a lie down -
Injuries obviously had an effect but I would speculate that Wolves would never have finished top of the table
-
Now that made me smile - there were quite a few moments that stopped Wolves finishing top! On the back of a few very poor seasons with virtually the same team Wolves were written off before they started ! With the turnaround in form of the eventual world champion from a good heat leader to world beater I think it inspired the rest of the team to raise their game. But don't get too carried away - Wolves were never going to finish top and they were the weakest of the 4 play-off teams and an easy pick for the team finishing top - and that's how it turned out! Fantastic season but don't get carried away
-
Except they are not in the EL Well there you go - Poole "Sky Sports" Pirates - confirming what we knew already
-
That is your second personal attack lady! If you read my post I actually said that Scott rode well in 2012 but don't let that get in the way of your rants!

As if the fans had any say on how the money was dished out. I believe the contract is/was for EL speedway so that would explain why the PL only "got the crumbs off the plate". I think you would need to ask Sky/Go Speed/BSPA why only a couple of PL matches have been broadcast in recent seasons. -
Scott actually rode well in 2012 and upped his average (well it couldn't have got much worse than his time at Swindon)

Talking a lot of sense there Skiddely

To say that problems only exist in the EL and everything is fine in the PL is naïve in the extreme. We are talking about British Speedway and for British Speedway to survive and move forward you need to look at the whole - not just individual parts. -
Oh dear! Nicholls as a number 1 has disaster all over it! Looks a bit disappointing as a team - but will need to wait until after the AGM to see if it's over the limit or not!
-
Don't know why - he is a better rider than when he left, he is a character and he also rides Blunsdon very well - there is no one more exciting to watch round the outside of turn 4! I would be more than happy to have him back.

And I don't want it to start in March - when the weather is Baltic - hardly supports the concept of speedway being a summer sport! -
Have to say that Hansi has been a true number 1 and has been good for the team but I don't understand his rants from the dinner dance. People are entitled to their opinion and Killer has been fantastic this year (I'm assuming he won). No point in turning against people as it seems clear that he won't be at Swindon next year - reading his tweets. To be honest I didn't expect him to be back next year

Don't sugar coat it I think parasites is a bit strong but the BSPA agreed to the deal so what does that say about them? I'm not a Tango brothers fan but they are successful businessmen and were instrumental in setting up the sky deal with the BSPA support -

I don't get the focus on top riders! Value for money is what the BSPA should be looking at and not just tinkering with the rules as they have during the Sky sponsorship period. I think the Sky sponsorship has made promoters complacent and losing them will be a kick up the backside they need! Cutting costs is important and it makes sense that they look at ways of reducing these - air fares, fuel costs, points money etc. At the end of the day - if they just tinker they will lose more fans and fail to attract new ones! -
I agree about Doyle and PK - which would mean no room for Andersen or Batch I would think. Also add in Morris and that will be the spine for next year's team - assuming we don't have doubling up and Doyle and Morris riding for the same PL team.
