There is no point in discussing further if you can't see the flaws in the draft system. Either it's a fair system with each team taking their turn of choosing from ALL riders or it's an unfair system - already stacked in certain teams' favour!
Yes you have! As EL winners, Poole should have had last pick of draft riders - but they didn't! Not Poole's fault - it's the process that was flawed - like everything from BSPA Towers
I know that - the point is it can't be a fair draft system. As you say, nothing's going to change but it doesn't alter the fact that the process was fundamentally flawed
Lee Smart wasn't a protected rider so is irrelevant to the discussion. However, even though he was picked by choice, rumour has it that he may be replaced.
Probably because its a Poole thread - just a wild guess
I don't follow your logic on why he should be protected but its not really up for debate as he was protected.
There is usually a good crowd at Swindon whenever Poole are in town - I don't think it is down to the riders on show though (although it certainly helps when you have the likes of Ward, Holder and/or Hancock).
Really? In a league that is severely watered down you don't think Morris will continue to improve? Kildemand probably the most exciting rider in the league - after Ward and Batch being able to maintain or improve his level back to his best year at Peterborough? I think you are wrong but we will see.
Can I ask where you think the improvement will come from Poole's announced riders in the 1-5? Ward is already top of the averages and Josh G has been around for 6 years and hardly set the world on fire in that time - and now in the 1-5 rather than reserve?
Is he still having his testimonial in front of the few Poole faithful or does he think he will actually LOSE money on the day and not bother trying to milk the UK further?
So you know the final two signings? I would be very interested if you could share with everyone because last time I looked the 3 who have been named were part of the team that finished second in the league campaign this year!
Good luck - seems Rosco couldn't get the best out of him - an enigma
I suppose every cloud has a silver lining - he won't be in the Swindon team this year
