  1. I'll go so far to say that I'm finished with speedway if Nick doesn't ride for Swindon next year and turns out for another EL club without any lengthy ban
  2. I hear what you say but this rider was in the GP Challenge and comes in to a weakened EL on a 4 - it doesn't seem the right average for a rider one step away from being in SGPs. As I said earlier - no conspiracy theory and not saying that Poole have bent any rules! If PP is assessed on a 7 then surely the same should apply here?
  3. How does he manage to come in on a 4 point average? Just an honest question - no conspiracy theory.
  4. As I said if a rider reneges on a contract then the said rider should be prevented from riding elsewhere in the EL - if not, the floodgates will open! If it is Swindon that is impacted and Poole sign him then it is Adrian Miedsinski all over again - but worse! A contract of employment precludes you from working for anyone else for a period of time. I do hope that Morris doesn't turn his back on Swindon
  5. Well I'm not one for jumping on Poole for not signing young British talent! You did offer a young British lad a team spot (2 actually) except one should be in the 1-5 just like Birks is expected to do
  6. Actually, if Morris has signed a contract and has changed his mind - he shouldn't be allowed to ride in the EL this season for any other team - as contracts are legally binding! Birks hasn't been treated badly at all - it's a numbers game and he hasn't signed a contract as far as I'm aware.
  7. To be dumped you need to be included the declared 1-7 - which he wasn't. As much as I like Ashley, he should be starting as a reserve - as he didn't show he was anything other than a reserve this season. It's bonkers that he needs to start in a 1-5 position. I think this is the right decision - and hopefully a better rider will be signed
  8. Either you were fishing or you weren't - make your mind up
  9. So tell us all then who you think will win?. And like Jacques asked what is a Boillie?
  10. Only going with 5 riders then? :whatever the code is for a clown:
  11. Didn't Poole sign Robert Miskowiak this year? He was missing more than half the time!
  12. Will need to make sure they pull him up about it this season
  13. Oh dear! Pawlicki Jnr has only ever been reserve or second string in this country and now a second heat leader. At least you have Tai and Ty to keep you interested. Stranger things can happen - look at last year - predicted to be in wooden spoon contention and ended up in the play-offs. Of the teams declared so far it looks like KL for the title - but I said that last year!
  14. Early prediction 2 : league season for Poole won't start until April either as the boy wonder will be riding in the NZ SGP
  15. Good news but need riders who can back him up.
  16. Good news - Mick Horton going to be a busy man.
  17. Eh? I did say the same about the others! I wasn't getting at Poole (or even anti-Poole), my point was that the draft system is flawed when you have "protected" riders and Poole and the others in the same boat will benefit from that! Exactly! It wasn't a fair process and a ballot of all riders would have been fairer
  18. Right on cue - fishing season is open They may well be a mid table team but if Klindt is the last rider both he and Simon have an awful lot of potential of adding to their average so they could be trump cards - then again - they could bomb but I think they are more likely to be the former! Whether that's enough for play-off or not only time will tell. You thought last year that the initial Poole side looked good for the play-offs - how wrong you were until changes were made many times to your team and you scraped into the play-offs but won it with ease! I'm happy if you think Swindon is a mid-table team!
  19. That's what was said before his last stint at Lakeside but he really hasn't made the progress in this country that he should have. I hope this is a good year for him but I can't see it myself.
  20. Says it all really It was agreed that the pick order would be the reverse of where teams finished this year. As Poole finished winners they should have got last pick - but they didn't
  21. Easy to predict and a change if home track should see him improve Who for the last spot then?
  22. Nobody can complain when the Tories got into power! Nobody can complain when it's too hot! Nobody can complain when it's too cold! BUT THEY DO - it's called opinion and mine is as equally valid as yours. Just once it would be nice for you to show that you can be objective where Poole are concerned
