  1. 2 rides and 2 lasts? He's even behind Bomber at this point. He may go out and get 3 wins (and I hope he does) but not looking likely
  2. Looking like Tai was a one season wonder - shame really! He needs to up his game
  3. I know what the top 10 is but not really relevant to list them ( here's a link to help bring you into the 21st century of music http://www.officialcharts.com/music-charts/ ) Hope it helps as for my personal assessment, I like All of Me and Happy - they would both help improve the atmosphere at any speedway meeting. I could go on but I think that's not necessary. With regards to the other post, a couple of current songs in among 30 year old tracks doesn't really fit the bill.
  4. Except (using your example) Coventry are no longer the "crappiest" team so certainly shouldn't be given first pick. By that logic Birmingham who have currently poor picks (and Swindon) would get last choice for replacing them!
  5. Really? Grachan has a point that playing the same 30 year old songs week in week out is uninspiring! How about the top 10 singles in the current chart - surely being current is what the image of speedway is about rather than stuck in a time warp. #justsaying You only have to listen Heart FM to hear what is popular - thankfully I don't - Radio 2 for me!
  6. Yes - they changed it a couple a days ago in light of Darcy's recovery and in the best interests of British speedway Seriously though, it makes perfect sense that if he is fit he should resume his position in the team!
  7. I think Doyle would have been a starter but he wanted to do PL (with Somerset) and Mirris would also be a D/U for the same team so we couldn't have both. As you say, with hindsight, things might have been different
  8. I thought the Coventry/Peterborough walkouts and subsequent winter of discontent was probably the most controversial and that wasn't about Poole (although I agree that where there is controversy, Poole are often there or thereabouts),
  9. That's a bit unfair as in several races he also tried mid track and out wide - for a change!
  10. Ok - this must be the worst signing in history! Nothing wrong with Dakota but the Peterborough/Poole troll has now moved on to Swindon - god help us all!
  11. I don't see the problem - we all saw Darcy get injured and Poole opted to sign a short term replacement rather than R/R as they didn't know how long Darcy would be out. I guess Poole are just trialling the squad system they seem so keen on
  12. That's hard on Klindt but North should be an improvement. I think Klindt needs to get a PL berth and concentrate on getting back to his best. We all know he has it but he has been going backwards now since he last rode for a Swindon in 2011. I wish him well.
  13. OMG! Where did I say that? It was supposed to be funny (apparently) - it wasn't. My post was an oxymoron - not to be confused with shorter words without the oxy prefix (which I'm sure someone will use)
  14. I also meant to say how disappointing Milik was. Time will tell if he comes good but certainly wasn't good at a Blunsdon (probably just as well too)
  15. Well done Jason Doyle on getting his first full maximum for Leicester against a tidy side. Congratulations to Coventry on their win - good to see Bomber scoring well
  16. You have a way with words and calling people morons won't endear you to the general population! There weren't many crashes and the ones there were were pretty innocuous - I think Simon's crash in heat 14 was possibly the worst. With regards to the bizarre cheering at a Poole E/F (I believe it was for Milik) where I think your education is lacking is that one or both of the Swindon riders could have fallen or had E/F themselves so points could be dropped during the race and an E/F for Poole reduces the impact of this. I generally think that calling people morons and belittling their education is a poor reflection on one's own social standing!
  17. I think you'll find that they were Middlo's choices!
  18. It was a meeting of two halves. Swindon looked good in the first half and lost their gating abilities in the second half. MOTM - Josh G for me. That was my first match of the season and I can't say I enjoyed the new race format or draft riders. Will definitely pick future meetings too - if I'm not doing something better. Definitely lost the speedway bug and I thought tonight would rekindle it - but it didn't !
  19. Someone should tell Poole! And try telling that to a Peterborough fan
  20. Why will they be on false averages? The points they score are mainly against other draft riders so the averages give a good indication of the respective strengths of the reserves. Maybe next year (assuming they don't dump draft riders) they can set an average of 12 points for the two reserves.
  21. I get the thing you believe about assets (which I don't believe has any legality). However, you either have a draft system that is fair to all or it's not a draft system. How can it be fair that the certain riders in the draft were pre-selected (or reserved)? Anyway, I hope you have a great season and finally win some silverware at the highest level but don't try defending the indefensible and then shouting "sour grapes" - it makes you sound like a Poole fan!
