Why are the likes of Auty and Birks not included and others of their ability - that would help develop them rather than dump them out of the EL.

You can say what you want but generally crowds are down. The EL has been watered down year on year and this year, the BSPA hit a new low with the draft rider concept. One of the reasons why Coventry, Poole and KL are destined for the playoffs is because of having a strong reserve who shouldn't have been in the draft in the first place - two were reserved and the other was the very first pick. It was downright dangerous to send riders out in that - but anything for a result apparently (memories of Poole at BV last year spring to mind). If the ref had considered rider safety, heat 10 wouldn't have gone ahead and result wouldn't have stood. But that's all history now
