Leicester V Swindon Saturday June 21st
Steve0 replied to stevethelion's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I don't believe that Rosco has been making so much fuss! I think his main issue is the inability to find suitable guests for Swindon's top 2. If you had Sam Masters in for Harris or Andersen then I doubt that you would be too happy -

What have Swindon to gain? -
I can't believe this is still being discussed - time to move on...

How Many Of Us Were Wrong About Tai.?
Steve0 replied to stratton's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Up until last season I thought Tai was an ok rider but had reached his level and as he admitted was on the brink of giving up and going in a different direction. What he did instead was change his fitness regime and some other things and really upped his game. He rode through the pain barrier several times and showed superhuman determination to succeed - and he did it - and deserved it! Since becoming world champion, he has a high media profile - I haven't really seen this by other world champions. He also does a serious amount for charity. He doesn't come across as big headed as some have said but a lad who is at the top of his game - for which you need the right mindset. He comes across as a thoroughly decent person. He deserves his success and I don't begrudge him his success one bit. What a transformation - in more ways than one. The only minor issue I have are his tattoos - I'm not a fan of ink but that is his choice and not mine. I wish success for many years to come so he can retire back to Oz and enjoy the fruits of his labours! -
Can I join them too?

Lakeside V Leicester Frid 13th June
Steve0 replied to waco's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Who's Norrie White? -
So Klindt now at Leicester - which looks even more like a Swindon team with each change! Hope he shows the form of the GP qualifiers and the PL- except against Swindon. Simon has looked a different rider this last few weeks so looks like Rosco was right to stick with him - just a pity he didn't score so well earlier in the season or I think Swindon would have benefitted from Klindt's current firm.

I think promoters need to understand that fans have a choice! Do Eastbourne and now Leicester really think that the key driver is to get the points? It's shocking and speedway is a sport that is fast tracking its own demise!!
-
What obvious failures are those? He's not riding the bikes!!!

So disappointing Well done to the Wolves for conjuring up an unlikely win (or was that Swindon for a master class in collapses) Dear oh dear!
-
He doesn't need an excuse

That's a bit of a rant - so what if Sky don't like your team!?!?! Lakeside have been there or thereabouts for a good number of years whereas Belle Vue have been languishing at the very bottom for the best part of a decade (except the year Swindon gave them a break). Everyone likes an underdog!! And remember Tatum rode for Lakeside for many years so hardly anti-Lakeside.

It's like any work situation - if you aren't doing a job then you can expect to be dealt with appropriately and similarly if you fail to turn up at work whilst working elsewhere
-
That is correct - takes them about half a point over the limit

My god - you do humour too . A nice change from the band of depression

Surely not!! According to Drop a cog, stevebrum et all, the crowds are up and the future looks bright for British speedway with the introduction of the draft system. It's all very well investing in the future but you need to ensure that you have a future!

Not for a rearranged fixture - even though Thursdays are Swindon's normal race night
