  1. I don't think it's a case of unwilling to use the covers - by all accounts it has been wet every day so it wouldn't make sense to put covers down on an already wet track. It is unfortunate that since the initial postponement the weather has become seriously wet and I don't think anyone can blame Matt Ford for that. Yes, it was a mistake that the initial postponement happened but I'm sure they are doing everything they can to get it on - not even they would want to depend on the toss of a coin!
  2. I sincerely hope that this is not the case. It would devalue the final and it would be a hollow victory for the eventual EL winners. Imagine what the Poole fans would say if KL progressed in this way and vice versa - not forgetting the loss of income for the affected club!
  3. Unlike Poland, you don't get a say on whether or not they can guest for anyone else!
  4. This is scheduled for next Wednesday. The Coventry leg of the final on the Friday and the KL leg on the following Monday! The semi is being reported on Sky Sports HQ and meeting not being shown in its usual format.
  5. The stroke of genius was having Tomasz Chrzanowski in the starting line-up - NOT!! It was obvious to everyone except Ronnie Russell that he was sinking faster than the Titanic (after his brief spell for BV the previous year where he struggled to score any points). The one shining light was Klindt.
  6. You lot? I would be very surprised if you were better educated than I am thanks very much! So don't even go there with your patronising attempts at put downs!
  7. I have to chuckle at you Starman - you regularly play the "make it clear for the less educated on here" card and you show yourself up with your atrocious spelling. People with glass houses and all that!
  8. It doesn't really matter who wins this as, with the number of guests, it is hard to work out what team they are all representing on the night! A couple of weeks ago at BV we had Hans Anderson and Chris Harris ride for KL then an hour or so later ride for Coventry. We then have the situation where Coventry are in the final and 2 of their riders are helping the opposition get to the final (or not if they don't fancy racing against them) while the beaten semi-finalists are providing a rider for the other team! Only in speedway - what a joke!
  9. It was NOT a great meeting - it WAS a great result for Coventry! The management and riders are to blame - of course they are. However, if the track had been dry then I think Swindon would have progressed - we will never know! Coventry were better in the conditions and deserved their win.
  10. My mistake, I was looking at King's average for Birmingham which strangely enough isn't the same as for Lakeside. Its not like the BSPA to make a mistake is it?
  11. I would guess the choice is down to averages as King has a higher average than Josh G. Maybe Cook is not available as his average would fit. I hope Troy rides as well as he did(n't) on Monday!
  12. Are there no depths this sport won't sink to? How can it be right that riders from the other semi-final are being used in this one? Absolute tosh!
  13. I don't subscribe to the conspiracy theories - the weather was awful and they would have been lucky to get the meeting on. Having said that, it was only a hole and as I asked earlier how difficult can it be to fill and pack a hole - even one that has been there most of the season?
  14. This IS on Sky Sports 2 on Thursday at 7.30. It's not showing on the Sky TV Guide yet but is on the Sky+ Application - although it's not letting me record it. Also Nigel Pearson has tweeted he will there on Sky Sports
  15. Well it's all over for the 2014 team. Who do you think will be back next year? I would like to see Dakota, Killer and Morris in the team.
  16. You are just leaving yourself wide open there - as they both last ride for Swindon!
  17. Eh?? I don't think it's team spirit that wins you meetings. And I don't think you've been vindicated!
  18. To be fair Coventry have been sharper in every part of their team so far
  19. Ok - only fair to start the meeting again Edit: Congratulations to Coventry - better team on the night - Swindon never bothered to turn up! Quite frankly a disgusting showing from Swindon!
  20. Bad luck to Coventry there - I was just about to post congratulations to Coventry as well!
  21. Coventry looking as good as Swindon are looking bad! Track (and weather) obviously a leveller but Coventry have ridden well. Time for miracles??
  22. Let's hope Swindon turn up for the remaining heats.
