  1. It's a shame that Birks has signed for Sheffield as I was hoping he would be back at Blunsdon
  2. If Fricke stays at Edinburgh then you can forget him riding for Coventry so any other EL side is a possibility. Will they allow non-EU DUs next season?
  3. Wasn't it the same Tony Mole who sold it to Alan Phillips et al in the first place!
  4. I think you were spot on - nothing to argue about there. That's one of the big issues with averages - they don't show the full picture - and anyone who thinks that Harris is a better rider than Woffinden due to their averages is just plain mad!
  5. "Keep" suggests he was in your final team and I'm pretty sure Noddy wasn't!
  6. Next season the following riders will start on a 10 point average only if they stay with their current club: Darcy Ward Josh Gracjonek Shamek Pawlicki Vaclav Milik Maciej Janowski Kyle Newman All other riders will start on a 3 point average as long as they don't ride for the league champions in which case they will have a 9 point average. It's called a level playing field - all in the best interests of British Speedway!
  7. Richard Lawson - really?? He has an EL average of 6.5 as wasn't far away from being Lakeside's highest average rider!
  8. And I'm sure he thinks that the "protected assets" debacle was fair too!
  9. Worrall started the season on a 3 point average while Kerr's was nearly 6 and Garrity and Newman were approx 5.5. Worrall and Kerr both finished the season 7.54 with Garrity on 6.75 and Newman on 6.51 What that shows is that Poole, Coventry and KL had a massive advantage at the start of the season (we all knew that) and Worrall made the biggest improvement of the 4 of them by some way in the PL. When it gets to the business end of the season though it's not about averages it's about who steps up on the night!
  10. And as per the rules - it doesn't mean he will be re-assessed down!! You honestly think it's fair to cut nearly 2 points from his average??
  11. Why should his average be reassessed? He has an EL average and has done well to re-qualify for the 2015 SGPs so hardly on the downward slope! Surely the existing heat leaders/second string averages need to be reviewed as, because of the change of race format, you now have second strings on inflated averages and heat leaders on reduced averages. Why would a team take a current second string, when they can look to bring one in who didn't ride this year on a lower average - allowing more points elsewhere too???
  12. Starting on a 3 point average - that's surely a joke! Surely they should be in the same boat as Birks, Auty etc and use their converted PL average ie recognising their current demonstrated ability rather than on a false average like we currently have with foreign assessed averages. Will be interesting to see what is decided and what steps they will take to address the VFM aspect rather than the watering down FTR!
  13. Well he's not that good a rider and trouble follows him about. I doubt anyone would want him in their team outside of NL!
  14. Oh dear! I think he may have shot himself in the foot there. Might be a very short career in speedway for him
  15. See the Poles were following Darcy's lead to the bar on their bikes! Just a joke before anyone thinks otherwise!
  16. markyb in meltdown. Get a grip. That team and management got you to the finals - be happy with that and something to build on next year!
  17. Have to say - well done to Howarth over the two legs - really showing good progress
  18. Well done Poole - bees gave it a good go but Hansen should have been replaced a while back!
  19. What a crock Middlo - he was coming out of the bend in the lead - no left turn there!
  20. That was a tight second bend - 3 riders going for the same line. Hope Shamek is ok
  21. A good tactical and the Bees are back in it! She might be clearing her throat though!
