  1. Yes -Yellow and Black helmets are a real evolution! I think you will find F1 was more revolution than evolution!
  2. Can't see Holder doing that but it would certainly make things interesting between Poole and Coventry
  3. And I was just told that most Lynn fans weren't expecting both current FTRs in their team. You cannot swap Lambert with Kerr - as both aren't FTRs - unless you are talking about Simon
  4. Where were Doyley, Mads and Steady riding for the last few seasons not forgetting Miedzinski a few seasons ago? No problem in using others' assets if others are being loaned out. Actually, I don't support the asset system but while it's there teams have to be fair. Liking your own post? That's a new one on me You may be right about most fans but read back further than a few pages and what I said is what is being spouted by some (except the bit about using others' assets). If teams fans give it out then they need to be able to take it too!
  5. No - anybody's assets are fair game - although Lynn's FTRs are not available because Lynn have developed them and nurtured them blah de blah!
  6. Are you having a giraffe? Why on earth would any team want to protect Nathan Greaves? He certainly won't be back at Swindon - burnt bridges and all that!
  7. Dream on - Blackbird was the highest rated FTR from last season!
  8. I see Sarj is riding for Glasgow in the PL next season
  9. 400 miles from Swindon to Possilpark - not a journey I would like to do every week!
  10. I would be well happy with that - he should have stayed with us last year too!
  11. If he was in the main body of a team - what makes you think he is eligible to be an FTR now? He made his decision last year - no going back!
  12. Can you not see the flaw in that statement? Let's assume that Poole "protect" Newman giving them effectively their first choice rider, you then expect Poole to get first pick of the B grade riders! Really?? So the team that finished top gets the best two reserves available. Min you that's probably how MF envisages it You also mentioned (sorry I didn't quote it) that by average, Garrity was the fifth averaged rider. What averages are you looking at then? According to the next to last Greensheet (the last one doesn't include FTRs) he was 3rd (behind Blackbird and Kerr). Which ever way you look at it - he is a top pick - as you well know.
  13. What makes you think that having Garrity as a protected rider will get Coventry 3rd pick in group B?
  14. Robert Lambert declined to join the FTR draft. I think the important pick for all teams will be grade B - most of the grade A riders are similar in their abilities. Getting a good grade B will provide a better balance to the team - and hopefully provide better cover where the grade A gets injured during a meeting.
  15. As Garrity isn't your rider it is a no brainer to protect Sarjeant. If Sarjeant continues next season how he finished off this season then he will be a very strong second reserve. He performed better than Garrity at the business end of the season too.
  16. I think the point you are missing is that it's a draft! No one forces them to join the draft and there are rules associated with it which they sign up to - a contract! I think the whole FTR is a crock, having "protected" riders invalidates it being a fair and true draft and FTRs should be getting their experience in the PL not the EL!
  17. It's called rules. Why should FTR reserves get any "protected" status? It doesn't happen to the main body of the team. So does your argument about FTRs and assets extend to the main body of the team? If you want to be consistent then fill the rest of your team with your own assets - You can't have it both ways You seem happy to keep hold if your own assets at reserve (because they give you an advantage) but anything goes in the main body of the team! At least be consistent!
  18. No problem with Rose riding for KL which makes Kerr available to other clubs - makes perfect sense! It's not much of a draft if allowed to protect one rider in each grade!!
  19. You said that the Grade A and B are not just about points levels (exactly what was written and how I read it) and my point was that it IS all about points! I wish next time you will consider the ambiguity in the English language before posturing yourself to be correct and others wrong
  20. Eh?? Of course it matters how many points they can score - because that is what wins matches! No point in having the most keen rider there is if he constantly falls off or finishes last!
  21. Unless the grade B riders are at a similar level to Sarjeant and Rose, there will still be an imbalance in the reserves
  22. Just to clarify - Britain is part of Europe
