  1. From what I've read, there was a clause which allows them to buy him back - whether Lakeside want to sell or not! They obviously feel he has a bright future and can, therefore, get more money for him I would guess.
  2. I'd like to live in Oz too but that doesn't make me an Aussie!
  3. Well they have the same reserves as last year, they have Bomber back and King joins them. This far, they are stronger than last year! Also, it's hard to say if they will be a league winning side until we see the other teams!
  4. King is stronger than Hansen - so don't know why you think it's looking weak
  5. He's off to BV! This discussion was on another thread and PTA was the source then - although he was being cagey!
  6. I have to disagree with most of what you have written. These riders owe British Speedway NOTHING . Like most of us would, they go where the money is but more than that, they try and get a better work/life balance for themselves and their families. Riding in the UK means riding many different nights of the week and this is just not convenient for the modern day top riders. You expect them to have some sort of loyalty to British Speedway - when in reality it has to work both ways. Like all of us the only loyalty needed is to your work contract and all of these expire at the end of a season for speedway riders. My view of British Speedway is for them to get themselves sorted out as, in the hands of the BSPA, the sport is dying on its backside and they seem incapable of sorting it out. So the blame lies with the BSPA and not with the riders! Do you think the top riders in the world want to be in a team made up from FTRs where a lot of them last season weren't even good enough for the NL?
  7. It's a start but this is the same AJ who needed a wildcard pick for this year's and last year's SGP series and possibly the same going into next year if Ward had kept his nose clean and Iversen and Holder weren't injured. A good signing as #1 for Lakeside which they have been missing for a few seasons. As you said "One swallow doesn't make a summer"
  8. But oddly spot on when he talks about you!
  9. I'm seeing a different side to you - a sense of humour and no black cloud of doom!
  10. I would have thought that if anyone was talking with Emil that it would be Swindon - with the Rosco, Pratt, Ashtec connection! But I can't see him fitting the EL in his schedule.
  11. Absolutely - he has an EL average and that should be used.
  12. If Kennett's 2014 EL average is expunged then it is only fair that he reverts to his previous year's EL average of 6.39 (his 2014 starting average) anything else would again be a total bending if the rules. We all know that the EL was easier for second strings last year so it would be another complete mockery if he was to start on a converted PL average - whoever he rides for!
  13. Wrong wrong wrong! Swindon have several assets as well as Nick who are still riding in the EL (earning money for the club) - whereas Poole have lots if assets that don't ride in the UK anymore! And I am not anti-Poole!
  14. It's alright - no one wants Poole cast offs
  15. You are deluded if you think the draft was fair and square!
  16. What has being a Poole asset got to do with him being able to double-up?
  17. Ok - he will come in on 9.03 as well
  18. This change that was kept quiet was aimed to get the stars back in the EL so I would think it would only apply to the number 1 spot in the team and Wolves already have (not so) fast Freddie
  19. Thanks for this - I wasn't aware that he wasn't able to double up! So he could ride for Coventry then - if Poole don't get the cheque book out again!
  20. Edinburgh ride on a Friday and Poland on a Sunday so can't see anything wrong with doing both and riding EL for any team except a Friday night team. As they have put a limit on doubling up - it would be a good opportunity to make good money over the next 2 years!
  21. It's not football we are talking about - it's speedway! When the draft was setup it was to reduce EL costs under the pretence of giving up and coming riders a chance to ride in the top tier and also to ensure that the top clubs didn't get the best FTR riders and the lower teams having the pick of the spoils!
  22. If Fricke rides for Edinburgh then there is no chance of him being at Coventry
  23. don't you understand my previous posts? In answer to your question - To be fairer on the teams that finish lower down the league!!
