Take a step back from the situation and you will see that he provided a specimen which warranted the action taken, Regsrdless of all the posturing by Darcy's legal team that fact is indisputable. Given that situation, the impact on his livelihood is all his own doing. However, I do agree with you that it should have been dealt with by now and the FIM should look at this because it has been far too long!

The Queen is one reason why Britain is great - the national anthem is the best and whenever it is played at a sporting event it makes me very proud to be British! What can be better than a Brit on the top step of the podium, the union flag flying and the national anthem playing - fantastic! Not saying this to be contrary as it is honestly my opinion and just trying to give a balanced view. Notice that I am not knocking differing opinions as we are all entitled to our views!

I accept that a proportion of riders find it hard to make a living but those riding in multiple leagues have every opportunity to make more money than the average person makes and spend it when they retire - Leigh Adams, Tony Rickardsson, Jason Crump spring to mind. My point is if they are good enough they can make a tidy wedge (and that is after they pay out for mechanics, travel etc).

If this were any other sport then they probably wouldn't have people representing more than one team in different leagues. However, if they did it would be a no brainer that the top league always gets priority!

They were uniformly graded and then Woffy decided to do some gardening (as all riders have done to an extent without the use of a spade). However, he broke no rules - if he had he would have been excluded. If the referee thought it was unfair the he could have asked for a track re-grading.. And now we have a stupid "no gardening" rule which further makes British speedway a joke and a laughing stock!
