  1. As mentioned earlier by another poster I haven't seen anything official about BV not allowing riders to guest for playoff rivals. However, if it is true I wonder if Swndon or KL will help out? Can't blame them if they don't!
  2. I don't think Zengi was ever close to being dropped. It was obviously between him and Kyle but it was a no brainer - and that is no disrespect to Kyle who was having a great season.
  3. He's probably got more important things on his mind
  4. Except stevebrum - and I can't comment on the sane bit as he thought Wolves would be in this year's playoffs!
  5. Why not - with his average, Swindon would be able to cherry pick a replacement!
  6. You can't blame Hans for Friday - he wasn't riding! As has been said before other number 1s are in a similar position because of the race format (Lindgren and Holder spring to mind). On his current average I'm sure plenty clubs would look to sign him. If you don't appreciate him then you don't deserve his loyalty. Go Hansi!
  7. Well done to Wolves in avoiding the wooden spoon (who other than stevebrum would have expected this?). Not content with that they also leap-frogged Lakeside (another team who slid down the table in the second half of the year). I was wrong and I humbly apologise to stevebrum for saying his team would finish bottom. However, I just want to re-iterate that your team this year have been gash and really didn't deserve better than the wooden spoon but you must be so proud of them finishing 6th! How they achieved that is a minor miracle and should be applauded for sticking with their gash team all year enabling them to reduce their averages (and their fan base) to make an assault for the playoffs next season. But they reduced their averages fair and square and there was no manipulation ahead of next year - apparently!
  8. Normally that doesn't happen because the semis are on the same night but with all the rain (and "hole in track" gate) - that changed but has been rectified this year!
  9. I agree the fines were ridiculous - they should have been higher!
  10. It's bad luck about Garrity, you had an adequate replacement for Hans and it was hardly a surprise about King having pulled out earlier in the week. RR wasn't bad luck - it was by design and that is the problem! Yes you were unlucky about Garrity but the rest was down to poor management!
  11. A lot of luck? We went into last night's meeting against the Bees with essentially no reserves! Yes - very lucky!
  12. Nothing hollow about it - you can only race what is put up against you!
  13. What tonight shows is how much Bees depend on Garrity. Their top 5 is not the strongest - by some way (as their spare points suggest) and against a team with a powerhouse top 5 they will struggle - even with Garrity scoring freely. I think Swindon will make the playoffs now and are THE team to beat!
  14. Need to get you a t-shirt ABS - Anyone But Swindon
  15. Last night on paper KL looked strong but not on the track. Swindon definitely look strong in the Top 5 department but they have no tail at all in the reserves. Swindon should win this but it all depends on how they perform on the track and how many points Bees reserves get. I would expect Swindon to come away with at least a point and preferably all 4 - but I think the lack of reserves will impact this.
