  1. Good luck to both teams tonight - may the best team win. Hope it's the Robins!
  2. Hmmmm! So the whole spectacle of 2 meetings in one night has now gone - on a weather forecast! Call me a cynic but this is now on Coventry's normal race night and gives certain riders more time to recover from injuries! The call off may well turn out to be correct but I think this should only be done on the day of a meeting. Another nail in the speedway coffin?
  3. Pot and Kettle spring to mind with regards Steve Worrall and taking advantage of a rider who came on tremendously well elsewhere!! Yes - Swindon could have bought him before you say!
  4. You can have Batch - seeing as you like him so much
  5. Try reading the post. They are suggesting there is a huge imbalance - all within the rules but hardly a level playing field.
  6. It all depends on how they ride on the night - all riders will need to raise their game but on paper there is a lot in it with Poole having a big advantage in terms of combined team averages. If Howarth can get back to his early season form and King continues his recent purple patch then the first leg should be close. However at Poole there will only be one winner and that's the Pirates!
  7. . No need to as Swindon won't be racing against Coventry again this season He has carried the team this year and it just shows what an ill-conceived concept the FTR draft was. Nothing against Garrity or Bees but that is where matches are being won this season.
  8. I think all teams would like a PL #1 as their EL FTR!
  9. Or Coventry being victimised - lol Now who is that continually claims victimisation?
  10. Yes you can reasonably say it was intended as a like for like replacement! The rules say that there is a cut off where changes cannot be made - that date has passed. Therefore, for an injury replacement, it should be a like for like - otherwise you are effectively strengthening after the cut off date - which isn't allowed.
  11. Well it's play-off time again and the best 4 teams are in it. This is a tough tie to call but I will go for an 8 point win to the Aces, 49-41 (but obviously hope that Swindon sneak a win)
  12. As I have said several times - it's not how you start it's how you finish and if you finish bottom you will have been the worst EL team this season
  13. What I read was that changes could not be made after the cutoff unless it was for a season ending injury. To me that implies you can only replace a rider like for like or you would be making changes after the cutoff date. We will soon find out who is right if/when Coventry make an announcement. It matters not anyway as Poole will win
  14. I agree - anything else and they are strengthening the team which shouldn't be allowed. If they wanted to strengthen, they should have done it before the cutoff. So a rider up to JK's average then.
  15. ...and Leicester finish above Wolves in the EL table (on the BSPA) website. Oh - how we laughed!
  16. Who would have thought it - Wolves beaten by Leicester at home! What was stevebrum saying about the league's worst team?
  17. Didn't expect that but 2 points for the Robins - well done. Playoffs should be Poole vs Coventry and Swindon vs BV
  18. Breaking news - Coventry fans in Hans rant (again!!). Swindon fans would welcome him back in a heartbeat!
  19. It is a replacement rider only - so up to Joonas' average!
