  1. Job done Poole - although let it slip in the last 2 heats. They won't be troubled at Wimborne Road.
  2. were you party to this discussion with Havvy? Maybe the problem is his PL club but you decided that didn't suit your point?
  3. That makes sense - Doyle, Kildemand, Zengota, Morris would be a good start
  4. Agree with the first sentence but I'd much rather have those two ahead of "infamy, infamy, they've got it infamy" Havvy!
  5. This meeting will decide who meets Poole in the Playoff Final. Swindon will need to all be at the top of their game and, if so, I think they can win on aggregate. However, BV will be up for this and, if it's a wet track, Swindon will have no hope to progress. May the best team win on aggregate and they will have deserved to progress.
  6. I see Maths isn't your strong point (14+4=18 not 20)!! And Troy was top scorer with 8, Charles had 7!
  7. The better team won on the night and deserved their win. One foot in the finals but it's not over until it's over and they might (he says hopefully) have a mare at Blunsdon next week.
  8. Good luck to both teams tonight - may the best team win. Hope it's the Robins!
  9. Hmmmm! So the whole spectacle of 2 meetings in one night has now gone - on a weather forecast! Call me a cynic but this is now on Coventry's normal race night and gives certain riders more time to recover from injuries! The call off may well turn out to be correct but I think this should only be done on the day of a meeting. Another nail in the speedway coffin?
  10. Pot and Kettle spring to mind with regards Steve Worrall and taking advantage of a rider who came on tremendously well elsewhere!! Yes - Swindon could have bought him before you say!
  11. You can have Batch - seeing as you like him so much
  12. Try reading the post. They are suggesting there is a huge imbalance - all within the rules but hardly a level playing field.
  13. It all depends on how they ride on the night - all riders will need to raise their game but on paper there is a lot in it with Poole having a big advantage in terms of combined team averages. If Howarth can get back to his early season form and King continues his recent purple patch then the first leg should be close. However at Poole there will only be one winner and that's the Pirates!
  14. . No need to as Swindon won't be racing against Coventry again this season He has carried the team this year and it just shows what an ill-conceived concept the FTR draft was. Nothing against Garrity or Bees but that is where matches are being won this season.
  15. I think all teams would like a PL #1 as their EL FTR!
  16. Or Coventry being victimised - lol Now who is that continually claims victimisation?
  17. Yes you can reasonably say it was intended as a like for like replacement! The rules say that there is a cut off where changes cannot be made - that date has passed. Therefore, for an injury replacement, it should be a like for like - otherwise you are effectively strengthening after the cut off date - which isn't allowed.
  18. As it is - out of the 4 teams, Coventry are the weakest - so easy to see why Poole picked them
  19. Its alright - its only for 2 meetings
