  1. Given that most of the PL teams are made up of CL riders , I don’t think there are enough riders to have one big league
  2. If any team wanted to drop down - it’s not a foregone conclusion and they would need to be accepted into that league.
  3. Redevelopment of the track at Swindon has been a great success actually - just redevelopment of the stadium that’s the problem
  4. If speedway is going to be on Eurosport next season I do hope they don’t use Ermolenko for commentary! Probably the worst commentator ever IMHO
  5. You did - and you swapped him for a Pole who no longer wants to ride here
  6. Not forgetting Swindon - who spent many years in the second division when we also moved away from Saturday nights to Thursday nights. I really enjoyed this level of speedway and would have no problem if Swindon ride at that level again - except next season - can’t have the league champions dropping down
  7. Why do you have to get personal? Why are you always fishing for a reaction? Why don’t you just keep it to speedway!
  8. Let’s be honest - we have no way of knowing what might have been - only what actually happened and your boys took one helluva beating! Now have some humble pie and get yourself off on your jolly holipegs!
  9. Please don’t speak for me I have no problem with Gavan at all but I do have a problem with certain Poole posters trying to wind him up!
  10. You have seen him ride? He is well worth that and improve on it too.
  11. I know - but be the better man and don’t lower yourself to his level - or it will go on all winter As for the finals - am hoping for good weather, good racing and a Swindon win
  12. No they won’t - sadly. Top riders means more costs means higher prices means less crowds!
  13. Do you need to wind him up? Your team won - be the better man and move on.
  14. Didn’t they drop him previously because of his attitude?
  15. It doesn't sound cocky but it is there for all to see that Swindon are the better team on paper. Titles aren't won on paper though and full respect to Ipswich if they do cause another upset.
  16. You didn't want to take the risk on the high average he had at the time - Swindon took the risk and he continues to improve!
  17. Well done to Ipswich on making the finals but I can only see a Swindon win on aggregate. The one team that I was concerned about, Wolves, were made to look average to poor in the semi-finals (granted the weather played a big part in that). The weather may still play a big part in the finals so anything can happen but, if the teams ride to form, Swindon should win on aggregate by a big margin - and I hope they do. I did say at the start of the season that Ipswich were cannon fodder so I will expect this post to come back and bite me in the posterior if I am wrong again about their team. I certainly didn't expect them to beat Poole and they did - so anything can happen. Fingers crossed for a good two legged final with no injuries and lots of excitement - and a Swindon win of course #COYR
