  1. Now he would be a good choice if he was interested in coming back to the UK but I don't think that would happen.
  2. Are you some sort of cyber traffic warden? Lighten up - its nearly Christmas
  3. Out of the two teams in the final though - the best team won - and at a canter as Leicester appeared to be outclassed in all departments over both legs.
  4. Musielak has always wanted to ride in the UK since he started riding for Swindon (and Wolves before) - his commitment and availability have never been an issue.... until he went to KL.
  5. Lets be honest - they would have easily won the league this season if it wasn't for their injuries.
  6. Because he is British? And should be supporting British speedway? I appreciate he can ride where he wants but it doesn’t sit well with me.
  7. Well done Leicester - never looked like going through to the final all evening until heat 15. Commiserations to Ipswich who really need to release King next season.
  8. Shocking decision by the ref to exclude Rew. She was probably the only person on the planet that thought he was at fault. Terrible decision
  9. Some news - early days though and plenty of red tape to go through… https://www.swindonadvertiser.co.uk/news/24531755.new-swindon-speedway-arena-built-close-m4/
  10. Building a mini Swindon (and title winning) with Doyle, Musielak and Ellis
  11. They race under the banner Team GB so to answer your question no - England won’t achieve a 1-2-3.
  12. I have to say that for such a great track where great racing is almost guaranteed, it was a shame to see such an empty stadium on Eurosport. It is not good for the sport to attract a new audience (or even keep the old audience) when the best stadium in the country looks near empty. I felt the same during SON when the temporary stand was up and empty each night until the final and then only a smattering of people. Sadly the sport in the UK continues on the decline in terms of attracting people's disposable income and possibly because they are trying to use a formula that has been used for 50+ years that has brought about its decline. They need to look for ways of making speedway great again or at least stopping its decline.
  13. 6 posts in and you are “in the know” - if you say so!!
  14. Moose not too young for that era as I remember him being in the same Swindon team as Adams
  15. Great meeting! Great result! Great Britain! Biggest disappointment for me was seeing the temporary stand with what looked like <100 people
  16. I quite enjoyed both nights of racing (always good racing at the National Speedway Stadium) - how they managed to get last night on was a minor miracle and it wasn't just processional riding. I think it is good to see the lesser countries against the "big boys", however, I don't know how anyone would make any money out of running these 2 events. Given that the GB hosts aren't racing until Friday and Saturday, the crowds were rather sparse (as you would expect) - but they were worse than sparse and certainly would have hit someone deep in their pockets - I suspect they are looking for big crowds on Friday and Saturday to compensate. If someone happened to tune in on Discovery+ (it is hard enough for the diehard fans to get access never mind someone with a passing interest), they wouldn't have thought that they must attend in person because the lack of crowd impacted the atmosphere and with the weather thrown in last night - it just made it not a great advert for speedway. Discovery+ should be showing this on Eurosport and not on a specialist channel that requires yet more subscriptions.
  17. What Poland are doing is illegal in European law - you cannot stop someone earning a living. The reason they get away with it is that no one stands up to them because that is where the money is. The Poles are sort of suggesting that because their riders were injured in the UK then it is not safe for their riders to ride here. As we all know that is b*llocks from a few high profile examples: Lee Richardson, Darcy Ward, Tomasz Gollob etc. It would be good if someone had the ability to challenge the Poles on their employment practices!
  18. Surely not if the rider he is temporarily replacing is back racing and ready to re-take his place?
  19. In the words of the song, "Let it Go". If you can't, please keep it off this public forum because it is between you and them.
  20. Some news on Swindon - don’t get too excited
  21. I think it’s more Chapman than Holder - when Peterborough dropped Holder before a wheel had turned and brought in Pedersen instead - that worked out well - NOT!!
