  1. Has he been dropped from his Polish club? I don't really pay much attention to Polish racing..
  2. I do hope all involved are ok, both physically and mentally. This does sound like it will be classed as a RIDDOR so will need to be reported to the HSE.
  3. Two Eastbourne trained prospects riding for Glasgow today in Brennan and Hagon, along with Ablitt and Foord could this be the last we see from the conveyor belt from the Arlington academy?
  4. Top right of the screen is a drop down menu, then select English...
  5. The usual suspects going well and I'm biased with Ablitt and Hagon but Ashton Boughen looks a very good prospect for a 15 year old..
  6. Peter Lynn Pant stars has a ring about it...
  7. He was pretty good around Ipswich, won the 16 lapper I think it was called?
  8. 20 +1 from 7 at Ipswich for Eastbourne.
  9. Totally agree and what is disappointing with regards Eastbourne having looked into the finances, the sport was sustainable at Arlington, it was just miss managed by an individual that caused the club to fold.
  10. Both Hagon (1st) and Ablitt grew up at Eastbourne, such as sad loss to the sport as the club has produced many England internationals over years..
  11. By far the worst thing for Ablitt was the closure of his home club Eastbourne, he was being brought through into the first team and scored paid 7 on his debut at Arlington. Taking away a track he knew well to build confidence and that awful season at Poole seems to have wrecked his confidence. He has a neat and stylish style, I had him down as a good prospect, he needs to reset and the Scunthorpe move is not doing either the club or rider any good at the moment. I still feel he will come good at some point..
  12. I was joking, spent 9 years working in the sport mostly at Eastbourne so I know what happens. Your first post though, I thought you meant that Eastbourne have previous for go fund pages to make money from fans, when they only did from 1 former promoter..
  13. You jest, the likes of Bob Dugard, Jon Cook pulling stunts? never.....
  14. No, Ian Jordan had form for this not Eastbourne Speedway.
  15. The sport in this country is clearly in a very poor place. We are seeing so many tracks/business close down not only over the last few years but for many years before this. The only way this sport in the UK won't go into a semi pro state permanently and in my opinion spiral into oblivion is to reset now and start to grow. A new independent governing body (away from club owners and the BSPL) is needed to set up a blueprint for the future of the sport in this country. This may start with a small pro top league and then a second semi pro league. We have a lot of good guys involved in running the sport but I feel now is the time for them to work together working on how to improve the presentation of the sport to the public, we need people involved who are in place to evolve the sport in this country and not just their own club or business. Phil Morris is a good start but It does concern me he won't have the power to start this up because he has the vision.
  16. Phil is the right person for the job, given the tools and power to change things but it won't be overnight. A good appointment that will need some time and slack to change things.
  17. If that is the case then the rider should get a 28 day ban across the UK.
  18. If and it's a big IF as we don't know, that is shocking and robbing the paying supporters and mugging off the Belle Vue management.
