  1. Second rider announced tomorrow.
  2. The name is on the tin, development. Yes, I would think part of entering will be down to the desire to win, but as the management of the Kent Eagles are showing (I am no part of this management team) they are showing the desire to not only bring the sport back to the south east of England but also showing they are putting in the foundations of training new riders to the sport. Hats off to Michael and David.
  3. Exactly, Kent Eagles have said the side will be a mixture of youth and experience with the older heads helping develop the younger riders. They are also involved in the training days at Iwade along with Paul Hurry and Scott Nicholls.
  4. Well its on the British speedway site in the declared list for the Eagles
  5. First signing for the Kent Eagles in the National Trophy. Ben Morley
  6. What do you expect from an Eastbourne fan? Miss the old rivalry and good natured banter..
  7. About 8.30 for me, usually fall asleep watching the racing on BSN by then at Poole..
  8. That was the NORA format they had to go with but yes, a good format to watch..
  9. I will tell you a story about Zagar when he was the Eastbourne number 1. Got a call from Adam Shields on a Thursday to say we had a guest booking at Eastbourne in place of Zagar on the Saturday. We turned up and was setting up when Mark Seabright, MZ's mechanic at the time and now Jason Doyles turned up with all Zagar's kit ready to race. Zagar didn't even give Mark the courtesy of telling him he wasn't riding on the Saturday even though we knew on the Thursday, Mark never worked for him again and I have had little respect for him after that..
  10. Im sure Brennan is still a Glasgow asset, when Eastbourne folded his registration went back to the BSPL to cover debts and Glasgow got him on a cut price deal from the governing body.
  11. I was involved in a shoot one season at Arlington with Adam Shields, Lee Richardson, Ed Kennett and Lewis Bridger. Great day and had some fun, at the end they asked if anyone had any ideas and I came forward with putting the camera on the track with the 4 riders doing a start with the shale flying over the camera and riders disappearing into the distance, a clip they used until they stopped their involvement. My claim to fame lol
  12. Or he spends a lot more on his Polish set up and once the season in Poland finished, he moved it over to the UK.
  13. This is a really interesting video. If you watch closely it really looks like he is rolling off the throttle on most entries to the corner and putting power on quickly afterwards to enter the corner and get the back end out which he has obvious speed with. Maybe its confidence, maybe not wanting to get involved but looks occasionally like he has a wrong approach to enter corners. If the latter, this can be coached out of him and as have I and many have pointed out, fabulous talent.
  14. How do you know that the Poole promotion have not been proactive in looking at new and old sites?
  15. My Football team is playing in an hour, at home to Leeds in a sell out crowd of around 27000 paying fans. We loose well over £20 million a year, worst was £32 Million a few years back. That's mind boggling..
  16. Your taking that post out of context and I think you know that. Yes he turned left on VF but rode right into him.
  17. I don't really want to quote myself but I pointed out the issue over a year ago.
  18. I said this before, he was doing this in his first season, hope he changes this but I can't see it..
  19. I was at Iwade just over a week ago to watch Eastbourne V Lakeside, a small track that was slick. Eddie Kennett rode a 1984 upright and you could see the power difference the laydowns had over him from the start. Once the laydowns had the advantage Eddie rode really well on it making up ground on riders and looked far more in control and exciting to watch. You could see the power difference of course but got me thinking that this would be a far better meeting with them all on uprights..
  20. It was announced at Iwade last week that Michael Grey and David Graveling have applied to join the NDL running at the track with a Sussex Kent team..
  21. I had a movement this morning, funnily enough, reminded me of your posts..
  22. New club, not Eastbourne if the article is read..
