Too many clubs would not agree. For example you have sent Eastbourne, one of the better and most proactive run clubs, down to a semi pro league but offered their declared 1-7 as available to the top league. Poole, Somerset, Leicester and far too many clubs would be insulted with this.

Yes, the stock car track at Arlington is on the outside of the speedway track and after the stadium is used for speedway it needs to be left ready for a stock car meeting, fence wise. Cutting a 12" ditch for a safety fence is not an option for obvious reasons. Arlington goes into tier 4 on the 26th, can we see that lifted by easter? I have my doubts..

The money has dropped in Sweden, so racing in the UK, although riding more meetings will be more profitable. Clubs need to play hard ball with riders but there is an opportunity for the UK to leapfrog over Sweden to become the second most attractive league for riders. IF we get it right and thats a BIG IF..

Im currently reading John Berry's (Ipswich promoter and England manager) book 'Confessions of a speedway promoter' and he said then in the late 70's early 80's that the sport needed an Independent governing body to run the sport with an elected board of promoters to help and advise. He was spot on 40 years ago and he's spot on now even more so.

The other thing to take in account is that Europeon riders from January the first will require a work permit to race in the UK, no idea what criteria will be needed but looking at the way footballers could be treated it could be fairly high to gain one.

Most if not all riders will have set up equipment ready for 2020 and just not used it so will be a minimal set up cost for a lot of riders and most British riders

Lost interest a few years ago. Started watching as a kid in 1976 and worked for a rider for around 9 years ending around 2011. Never got the same buzz watching as I did working, not been to see a meeting since 2012 but follow the sport and sponsor riders to this date..

i see Eastbourne are now looking forward to the 2021 season, they are now renting the stadium facilitys directly off Eric and Margret Dugard and no longler through the company owned by Martin Dugard and Jon Cook..

I thought the picture quality was great. I watched it on my TV, used the web browser page on the TV, went onto the site, logged into my account and a really good full screen picture came through.

You get a lot of riders like this, they have a fear of racing but want to earn money. Usually towards the end of a career when they have had a few too many injuries, if they gate they will win but if not they will stay safe and take care of what they have.. Not saying Hampel is like this of course
