  1. The best of the young British talent are already tied up with Polish clubs, Kemp, Rowe and Brennan already have a team in Poland.. For me, after Bewley, Tom Brennan looks like he will break through to Poland
  2. I agree with you, adding another possible top heat leader will not be cheap to go with IF any riders do become available due to the demise of another club then possibly strengthen the engine room of the side would be better team wise and affordable. Kyle Newman would spring to mind if available.
  3. I think thats pretty much the only hope at the moment but its a slim one..
  4. With all due respect, you don't know that and it comes across as your questioning Eastbourne's business model without knowing the facts and coming across a little ITK..
  5. Hes got a point, you need more clubs in the top league and a watered down lower legue with minimal doubling up.. trouble is, riders wouldnt make that pay in either league
  6. Wait until Tuesday then form an educated decision
  7. Tom Brennan is a talented rider, you have to remember he had a bad break to his leg missing a season and then he had the Covid season so almost had 2 really important years lost of his development. so going off the back of virtually 2 years out he’s an outstanding talent, head and shoulders above his age group
  8. I first went to Arlington in 1976, seen a few laps around the place. From a fan to involved with a rider and now a sponsor of 2 of the riders and a few past, this could be heartbreaking.
  9. Eric and Margret Dugard I think, Bobs Widow and not the machine tools company.
  10. True, when speedway first opened up a lot of other places to go were still closed so speedway was one of the few options to go for a night out. Now with other attractions open, people can go elsewhere. No idea about rent or income streams from the food outlets or bars..
  11. Yes, thats a bit poor and its coming across as a bit desperate which is more of a worry..
  12. Pretty much says it all, Brum need to maximise income so have binned off Edinburgh for a local Darby against Leicester..
  13. I don't think its personal, he was the same negative hater of all things Lakeside a few years back and that was his team then!
  14. Im a project manager in new build construction, I could do with a forecast that accurate on a daily basis..
  15. Re the Birmingham fixture, OK I'm in Brighton 30 miles away but it has not stopped raining since I got up at 5.30 and doesn't look like it will stop for a while. I think its the best call both financially and weather wise..
  16. Thats a very good point that not many people including promoters have considered. The start of the season there was not too many places/social events open so it was one of the stand out places to go for a night out Now the country has come out of lockdown and the social scene has opened up it would be interesting to see if a lot of clubs attendences have dropped from that point onwards, ominous signs if gates have fallen nationwide if thats the trend.
  17. TBF, always a good side and a team running into form at the right time of the season. I would have thought most would have gone with a home win today..
  18. Eastie will be operating the tractor replacement facility next week
  19. Signs are that he's good around Foxall Heath, not much else
  20. Might be worth getting off at Polegate train station, closer to the track and a cheaper taxi fare..
