  1. Eric and Margret Dugard I think, Bobs Widow and not the machine tools company.
  2. True, when speedway first opened up a lot of other places to go were still closed so speedway was one of the few options to go for a night out. Now with other attractions open, people can go elsewhere. No idea about rent or income streams from the food outlets or bars..
  3. Yes, thats a bit poor and its coming across as a bit desperate which is more of a worry..
  4. Pretty much says it all, Brum need to maximise income so have binned off Edinburgh for a local Darby against Leicester..
  5. I don't think its personal, he was the same negative hater of all things Lakeside a few years back and that was his team then!
  6. Im a project manager in new build construction, I could do with a forecast that accurate on a daily basis..
  7. Re the Birmingham fixture, OK I'm in Brighton 30 miles away but it has not stopped raining since I got up at 5.30 and doesn't look like it will stop for a while. I think its the best call both financially and weather wise..
  8. Thats a very good point that not many people including promoters have considered. The start of the season there was not too many places/social events open so it was one of the stand out places to go for a night out Now the country has come out of lockdown and the social scene has opened up it would be interesting to see if a lot of clubs attendences have dropped from that point onwards, ominous signs if gates have fallen nationwide if thats the trend.
  9. TBF, always a good side and a team running into form at the right time of the season. I would have thought most would have gone with a home win today..
  10. Eastie will be operating the tractor replacement facility next week
  11. Signs are that he's good around Foxall Heath, not much else
  12. Might be worth getting off at Polegate train station, closer to the track and a cheaper taxi fare..
  13. Yes its a shame about the double headers.. Its a good move to take Jason out of the firing line and put Ablitt in for a bit, both have talent but Ablitt looks to have more confidence at the moment
  14. Nathan Ablitt replaces Jason Edwards in the Eastbourne line up
  15. And Eastbourne didn't have 2 riders, the engine room of our team, so what's your point? Sour grapes and a poor loser
  16. 15 point max for Eddie tonight, riding himself back into form..
  17. Rain in Brighton and moving towards the east..
  18. That will upset you then Bob, just as negative about Eastbourne as you was about Lakeside and British speedway in general.. I do enjoy reading your posts though, if I ever need to cheer myself up I just look at your cheery persona and think my life must be great...
  19. let them rot if they are making noises about coming back to the UK, they didnt want to ride here when they thought they had better elsewhere..
  20. He has been out of form but the change in rider order has worked wonders, 8 from 4 is a good return away so the pressure of being an out of form number 1 has gone. Eastbourne are very unlikely to replace Ed
