  1. Also take into account Birmingham have some sort of asset base but Eastbourne have nothing left having had it all taken back by the BSPL which would have made things even more difficult..
  2. Real shame to see the lad go but good luck to him, he's a fine prospect..
  3. Highly regarded at Eastbourne too, a local lad and another lost asset we would have kept
  4. just wanted to say that Tom's Mum Sarah passed away this morning.. All at Eastbourne Speedway are at a loss and we are thinking of Tom and the family RIP Sarah x 1 gazzac reacted to this
  5. I just wanted to say that Tom's Mum Sarah passed away this morning.. All at Eastbourne Speedway are at a loss and we are thinking of Tom and the family RIP Sarah x
  6. well said, I do hope that this post hasn't put people off supporting the club next season.. It should be either renamed or deleted IMHO
  7. Your thinking of the ARC group who own Birmingham, Newcastle and Sittingbourne, different landlords at Poole...
  8. If you include both the KOC meetings and league matches, Kyle posted figures including BP of 7.10 for Eastie or 5.80 without his bonus points.. Thats more of a form guide..
  9. I should have just said Kyle is not at Birmingham
  10. You would only take on the previous companies liabilities if you was buying the company itself with the intention of continuing that company. In this case, a new company has bought a companies assets and will trade as a brand new company.
  11. Heaven forbid an Eastie youth prospect in your side! Rode 4 meetings for Eastbourne in 2021, another very good prospect lost to the club at the moment.. It won't be him in your side of course
  12. Eastbourne have no assets now When the club dropped to NL racing, assets like Michelsen was transferred to Lakeside for 'safe keeping' Lakeside went bust so lost all those assets Any assets the club then built up, like Tom Brennan, went to the BSPL when the club folded in 2021 A new air fence is £20K or a foam fence £50K BSPL fees are a lot more than that but we are already in a good place for 2023..
  13. Hove Greyhound stadium is slap bang in the middle of a built up area, in fact its just behind the Dugard's Machine tool business. The late Charlie Dugard once tried to bring speedway there, absolutely zero chance of getting speedway on there especially as Brighton and Hove's council is run by the Green party!
  14. And if the bond has been used up in fines? Hypothetically of course
  15. The previous company is still active but all assets and bonds have reverted back to the BSPL, we've been trying to find out the name of the administers with no luck of yet Indeed it does, the good name of the club has been dragged through the mud but we are determined to get it back for 2023. Regards Mark Horsman
