Fantastic paid win for Ablitt.. -
Perfect words singy13 and I'm right behind you with your thoughts as I'm sure speedway fans in general will be. We need to build the sport if it's going to continue in this country but I fear a major step backwards will need to happen before any building blocks can be put in place for its future.

Or a smart TV, club streams and the BSN work fantastic on my Samsung TV -
I do apologise, I didn't wish to come over as being superior to anybody. I wish the best of luck to Workington and any new club trying to get the sport back.on track

It would be somewhat crass to put actual figures on a public forum but trust me, the BSPL costs alone are not exactly welcoming for a new promotion at either level..
-
The start up costs to go straight into championship level are eye watering..
-
Im all sorted now
-
Me too

Just to clarify that we did have a productive meeting yesterday and we are looking at running either league and not both at this time. Lots of good things happening but still a long way to go yet..

That's a bit harsh really, if it was a pure buisness decision then they wouldn't want speedway at the venue. It costs money with staff etc and they would be happy just running cars that they make money out of without the aggravation of running speedway. They are very supportive and the rent is realistic and a lot lower than most clubs, they are happy for us to run the sport at the stadium and thats a big positive..

Hi and Thank you, The Dugard's have doubled what the previous promotion paid in rent but its in line with a lot of tracks now.. We are exploring every avenue but at the moment we are trying to see what sponsorship will be pledged before we do anything else.
-
That is the start up costs but as the article states, we are some way down that road already and talking to potential sponsors for next season..
-

The reply would be something like 'You don't have a business, what you have is a money pit'
-
Good points but Birminghams rent isn't that high
