Championship Pairs April 5th 3pm (Workington)
M.D replied to bez's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Great ride from Chris Harris there, trademark cutback to go between two riders on the line. In the words of the great late Dave Lanning What a super ride. -
It's not really important is it, this thread is about Tai.

That's the spirit mate.. If you don't feel its value then don't go, if you want to spend some money that will be invested in the future riders then go and have a good time watching our youth devlop.

It would be interesting to see if the viewing figures for last night stacked up well or not for the fee charged, of course we will never know. I pay for the full service which I think is very good value and payed for last nights extra because I treated like a meeting I could never make, starved of speedway, looked an ok deal for me but understand at that price not for all..

Agree but Ray has asked a question, hopefully his question has been answered.

Tyres around a metal post that close to the track would offer very little protection for a rider and would not, thankfully, be approved anymore. it would be potentially lethal.
-
In a word, no..
-
Rider safety is paramount of course but to cover that will it impact on spectator viewing?
-
I may be wrong but didn't Poole say they had been waiting on a youngster who was talking to his parents to see if it was feasible to fit the meetings for Poole in? Well that guy clearly wasn't Marson so I guess the British youngster they asked couldn't fit them in so they gone the Marson route instead.

Just goes to show the shortage of reasonable riders the league needs..
-
It was later than that.
-
Jacob Clouting completes the Eagles.
-
Do they still owe it?
-
Do you mind me asking why you think this?

Supply and demand..

Im sure this is tongue in cheek but I watched him at Iwade towards the end of last season riding an upright. Looked good but as each race went on was shaking his arm more and more often. Spoke with some people who watched him at some grass track and said the same, starts well but the arm gets the better of him as the meeting progresses. Not fit and never will be IMHO.

Step brother, good on the grasstrack scene and it will be interesting to see how Charlie does, Kent lad with ambitions.
-
Charlie Wood signs .

We must meet up at Iwade next year..

THJ really wound up a few posters but I got on really well with him, We exchanged many private messages and he is a loss to this forum. I don't post that much but have been on the forum for many years now, having worked in the sport, sponsored a lot of riders over the years. As on the terraces, we have lost so many people on this platform over the years, some passed, some have just drifted away from the sport. This place is a sad reflection of how our sport has declined really and that's nothing against the BSF, just how it is.. RIP Shazzybird and London Witch, just two good friends lost..

Two more signings to be announced before Christmas..
