  1. I am pleased and also delighted with Nicki's winning style. Well done! Last year when Jason gained top, he suddenly stopped fighting and lost his normal performance. Nicki showed that he is best rider at this time and I am really glad that he won WC title. Respect, Nicki!
  2. Well "my" club is the most hated one in Poland right now, that's for sure. For many reasons I really hope that next year will bring some "fresh air" to the board. But besides all I really wish Marek Cieslak to stay for next year, and say that only for Maciej Janowski's good. But to be honest I am 99% sure that Cieslak will go to Czestochowa for next season. I'd love to see Darek Sledz as a riding manager in WTS some day...
  3. ZG crowd and support was massive! I've been watching this meeting in telly and was delighted. I am scared to thing what would have happened if ZG had bigger stadium capacity. Pity to see Polonia going down (for a while, as I hope!) but to be frank, no other team was more "suitable" to sink this season. And by the way this is probably the sole messageboard in Universe where block from Wroclaw (like I am) is able to post some text without beeing insulted, after last WTS Rider Replacement manoeuvre in Torun . (joke)
  4. I am not sure but presume that Piaszczynski will be in Polish line-up. Gomolski will probably get through the first squad as he is in top form right now. Anyway, Poles to easy win. Next year will be quite different as I see Aussies on rostrum's pick. Cheers!
  5. I wanted to ask about format again. You say that it's straight 20 heater, but I'm not sure whether it's rather 20 heats after best 4 riders ride final heat. Anybody can paste some URL to official notes for Sunday format? Cheers in advance.
  6. Freddie and PUK injured. :/ Therefore Bydgoszcz way ahead even before match. I'm sure that this is not what both supporters wanted, right?
  7. I wouldn't count on Dworakowski's generosity, as he calls allowing TV to shot the match on "his" stadium.
  8. So, we have final four. After few days of uncertainty (Torun - Tarnow match) Wroclaw finally gets through the semis as lucky loser. Wroclaw - Torun. Undoubtely the banger! This cracking meeting in Wroclaw will have many second agendas, as both boards, clubs and supporters "dislike" each other. Torun have never ridden well on Wroclaw's track, usually scoring poorly. Wroclaw to easy win. My prediction - 55:37 (with double). Rzeszow - Leszno. Every result is possible. Stal is the most sensational team this year in Poland, having priceless Nicki and Davey duo on their sides with strong backup with Scotty and Dobrucki. Last time their youngster Lampart started to score nice points and he is promising though. Leszno suffers several problems with biggest - Jarek Hampel's broken arm. As Leszno first line is quite impressive (KK, Leigh and Balinski) they have a black hole on number 2 (possibly will line-up with Batchelor or Miskowiak). Leszno's youngsters are weaker than Rzeszow's as well, I think. Tough game... Nicki, Leigh, Scotty, KK, Balinski, Daisy... Masterpiece. Rzeszow to win but slightly - 49:41 (no chance to use double). 7th place Race-off... This match will blow Bydgoszcz Stadium away. No chance to guess final result. Cracking perspective of speedway meeting. Mateusz, turn around for a sec... Go Falubaz! Just kidding. Every result is possible. Polonia will face Emil's absence, Zielona Gora suffers second line weakness so... No predictions. Let best win.
  9. Well, Polish league is different, indeed. Crowds can be really impressive. If we only had better stadiums. But from the other hand I have been to Croke Park in Dublin once on a hurling (or that strange female version: camogie, right?) match, and there was like 20 000 ppl and I could not even feel it. Sometimes it's really nice to be one of 20 000 when stadium has 15 000 capacity. :D
  10. Rain has complicated the day. Wroclaw have to wait for Torun - Tarnow match result. Hope there will be no miracle... Rzeszow - Wroclaw match... Poetry of speedway. One of the best speedway meeting I have ever seen. No doubt.
  11. Now we (Wroclaw) have to wait and see if other teams will play fair. If so we have chance to go threw as lucky loser. Otherwise... :/
  12. Well, full coach team were Cieslak, Zyto and Kowalik as co-coaches. I am sure that those two who stayed will take Marek's place.
  13. Thanks a mil, Peter S.! That shows a bit different side of an issue I guess.
  14. Well said. I think exactly the same. I wish we knew something more about that situation. Was there any argue between Ken and his Swedish club, or else? Rumours say there was. Maybe this Bjerre-case was only a pretext or excuse of something we don't know.
  15. Mateusz, here is that part of an interview. Somebody did retype it and I just cut and paste it here. Sorry for a bit of Polish here. So there is no wild cards for every club in every case of willing.
  16. I don't trust crappy SF. Yep, really, no changes. Same as this year.
  17. There is no wild cards. Please read last week TŻ - interview with Andrzej Grodzki. Next season 8 teams and no wild cards to buy. No chances to change rules during the game. Only chance to get so called wild card is if one of 8 teams will not be able to stay on top and withdraw. Then 1 team will be able to get into Ekstraliga after buying wild card.
  18. I doubt it. Next season Biocol is going to financially support Tarnow and this is Gollob's main sponsor. Hoping for Tomasz's return to B-cz? Am I guessing well? Well B-cz will have to stay at Ekstraliga first, beating Zielona Gora, right?
  19. Last time Rzeszow was lucky as Jason had his knee injured (Scottie "helped" him with this a little, to be frank) during that match. Till that moment Wrocław was ahead with approximately 10 pts. This time - no surprises. Wrocław to win!
  20. Marek Cieślak, who few weeks ago won gold medal in SWC with his team in Leszno, has resigned from being a national coach, after PZM has made some peculiar decisions refer to upcoming SGP in Bydgoszcz. He was very upset or rather angry that Polish speedway head quater has given Karol Zabik an obliged reserve position in Bydgoszcz SGP while he is to ride in U-21 final next day in Ostrow and need to concentrate or rest, rather than staying at pits watching others riding in SGP. And the second reason was that Cieslak wanted to have some training camp with U-21 national team before World Team U-21 Final in Abensberg, and PZM did not consult the final decision with Cieslak choosing Gdansk for a place of this camp. Marek Cieslak said that this is ridiculous decision as Gdansk track is totally different than Abensberg. I myself fully respect and support his decision! Welcome to Poland. :/
  21. 395 m, with a poor spectator capacity (12 000).
  22. It smells fishy for me. I watched this Bjerre-Kosciecha crash plenty times and I can't see nothing special. Really. It was rather same like million of other accidents. I think that all what is now happening around Kenneth has some hidden agenda or something. Kenneth is none of killer-type for me. There's something fishy going on here, I say. Cheerio.
  23. Why should I? I am to old to excite with such low purposes. I have others to keep fingers crossed for. I am a good speedway riding supporter, no particular names. I like many of speedway riders, not every of them comes from PL. Regards!
  24. Yeah, right... Famous "sand in his carburettor".
  25. You are right, mate. Cheers for this description. But we still have some wooden fences in Poland (e.g. Krosno). I think now only two or 3 clubs do not have airfences in Poland. Since 3 Polish companies have started to produce airfences, costs relatively went down. So maybe there is a chance. But we still do not know what to do with a space between ground and lower part of an airfence. How to attach its lower part to the ground. Last time there were few dangerous and unfortunately sore crashes in Poland where riders get beneath the airfence and hit the stiff fence behind, breaking legs e.g. But I guess we (I) go off topic. Kostek was riding with iron plate on his right arm bone and his arm broke just next to it, but luckily not in the very same place as last time. Another sad thing is that Kostek was robbed in Linkoeping (when leaving hospital) by some Swedish scum, who rode on a bike next to Kostek's bus, while his team was packing stuff. This punk grabbed Kostek's backpack with money and all IDs inside. :/ That is why Kosciecha had to spend few more days in Sweden waiting on new passport and so. Unlucky mate, I tell you. :/
