  1. My interpretation of the Google translation is that 1 zloty of each ticket sold will be donated to charity. I am open to correction from Polish speakers on the site.
  2. Don't think we've heard the end of this one. Torun say they will appeal, and the way these things go over there I would bet that the fines will be reduced. Also the licence and bans on individuals. In some ways the 12 point deduction for next season might be the biggest problem for the team. This season Torun finished 3rd in the league with 29 points (pre play-offs) .Take 12 off that and it would have put them in serious relegation trouble. And next year there will be only 16 matches to catch up as opposed to 18 this year.
  3. That's it for me tonight, another life calls! Congrats to the Pirates. Thanks for all the links when needed, looking forward to Poland on Sunday. Goodnight.
  4. Oh so true, but I suspect that even those averages are down on previous Swedish seasons (not fully researched ) and their rider wages must be so much more than our lot pay. Hope I'm wrong.......don't want to see any speedway nation in trouble, but a lot of Swedish clubs have disappeared in recent seasons.
  5. If it was Swindon we might say ''one swallow doesn't make a summer". Or whatever the Swedes say........................
  6. May be a subject for another time, but can see why it costs Sky so much to cover Elite in UK. These camera positions in Sweden are so much more basic, and don't give the overall coverage that Sky do. (Don't get me wrong, it's great for me, but Sky demand so much more quality coverage that it may be outside their budget to be worth broadcasting speedway). Maybe some other broadcaster could cover Elite League for a lot less? But who? Could be it ends up on our Irish friends as well as (or instead of?) the Swedish coverage.
  7. Thanks......got it! Thanks for that earlier, but for me it's now dead. Back in touch with meeting now........... See Man on Terrace link above. BB, thanks but our Orange friend is a no-no here after first 5 heats.
  8. HELP! Early, and perhaps slightly panicky cry for help here. Usual suspects don't seem to be providing coverage, (or will add their links later than usual.) Any suggestions gratefully received. In UK. EDIT: May have found something after all, albeit on a site I haven't used before. Fingers crossed. I'll find out at 6.10.
  9. Think this must be a record of some sort.....................'cause I agree with you,too...........................
  10. Delaying the start is official reason I believe. He was (as said) spinning his back wheel after 2 minutes had expired. Replay confirmed this. Oddly enough I saw a similar incident at Kirky Lane earlier this season with Zetterstrom excluded for same reason.
  11. Greg Laguta arrived at stadium late. Replaced by reserve in heat 4. Will he be allowed to take part? EDIT: Delayed by bus crash..........think he will be allowed to take his later races.
  12. 60% chance of rain it seems at both venues ( see Weather Undergound site). Already started in Torun it seems. Fingers crossed it passes over. EDIT:Sportewfakty seems sure that there will be no weather problems at Tarnow. ("Amusing Goole translation corner": Re track at Opole today.............'In Opole judge found that the track is not in the best condition, and ordered his whipping.' Bit harsh, that!
  13. Or why not use the Google translate option and there isn't a problem is there?
  14. Naked celebrating, hey? Don't you just love these crazy Danes?
  15. Thanks, in common with my other lack of success in following things tonight I messed up on that one too!
