Oh sure! The Danish meetings are great, I love'em. And Slangerup are 'my' Danish side too after a visit to the track back in the day. ( I don't remember all those 'cabbages' in those days though)

Like most of us, so glad to see Swedish speedway on Eurosport HD. BUT, like so many posters I have to say that the commentary provided was sub standard by any measure. Reason for this post though is to point out the irony of the fact that during a commercial break Eurosport were asking for people who had an interest in becoming a sports commentator to send in their details to the station, and (I think),enter a competition. So come on all you commentators out there...................contact Eurosport and show Jack and Sam how its done!

But when the result was announced it was met with a stunned silence and much head turning towards the referee's gantry as in the eyes of the SCB official Willie Dishington Zagar's efforts had been strong enough just to get up on the line and ###### second place from the team riding Pirates. It was a crucial decision as the visitors had just levelled the meeting after dual guests Charles Wright and Oliver Greenwood had paired up for Poole in heat 9 to claim maximum points. Had Poole been given that second successive maximum score it would have given them a little bit of breathing space Ah,so that's why the Aces won. ( I didn't see any Poole officials on the finishing line by the way) A little humility would go a long way in helping to counter the dislike that so many fans have for the Dorset set-up.

Does seem to be a bit of fuss about nothing. But don't all US riders carry a number from when they first start riding? I have several autographed photos of the Morans that they always signed with their numbers as well as their names. Explains Greg's wish for the change anyway!

Anyone who has attended USA meetings will recognise the way that they are presented. Lots of noise, constant commentary from an over the top presenter and the usual US razzmatazz. Have to say I loved it ! Special mention to the commentator who could be seen taking the occasional sip from a flask, and even name-checked the person who had provided the Jack Daniels! Not sure that I could survive it every week at Kirky Lane but all promoters here might learn at least something from watching it.
