We cannot justify or endorse losses of c£140,000 per season in order for Peterborough Speedway to remain in the Elite League and feel that some of the rule changes voted in at the recent BSPA AGM will only serve to increase such losses. We therefore had no option other than to make the painful decision not to remain in the Elite League for 2011. Says they won't run under the proposed rules.

Can't see how it makes anybody less of a supporter if they don't watch a team in a lower league, happens in every sport. Also slightly concerned that Ipswich fans seem to think they will be at the top of the Premier League. That may very well not be the case. Tjhe top half of the Premier will have the edge on them in having already assembled a team, having PL assets ETC.

OK, So that gets Ipswich through next season. But what happens the year after? Ipswich are in the same boat, and who else says they want what Ipswich had the year before?
