I too would love to see Doyle as the Aces number 1. Imagine, the Aces ending heat 1 with a heat advantage, something we rarely saw in 2015.

Poole Vs The Aces For The Title

Golden heat deciders are rubbish. The home rider will always have the advantage. I watched the decider when Peter Collins beat Anders Michanek at Hyde Road in 1973. Although Peter was a great rider, I have always wondered if the result would have been the same at Tilehurst, home of the Racers. Sadly this was not possible because the stadium was already being demolished. -

Perhaps Poole should send a winners medal to Graham Flint Did Meredith have a hand in the track prep ? I though it was the Skyman ? -

Very, very interesting. Poole win on aggregate by 2 points. Were they the SAME 2 points that should be deleted from the Pirates for Gogglegate at Kirky Lane ? This will rumble on for years -

I have to hold my hands up there. Zagar, and Cook, were about the only bright stars on Monday night, apart from Scottie, of course. I don't hate Zagar and Cook. I just have doubts about Zagar's dedication to the task, and Cook's ability anywhere except Kirky Lane. In Zagars case, a real number 1 is not happy to coast around at the back when he has missed the gate, and I cannot forget the disgraceful episode at Beaumont Park. I know Zagar has real talent, but how any real BV fan can excuse his actions I cannot imagine. In Cookie's case I think he has just stayed in the PL too long, although I realise that, financially it must be just about impossible to balance the books on EL earnings. Sadly, too often CC has failed to come to the plate when the Aces needed it. TBF he is not an EL heat leader, but he has been expected to do the job. -

Extremely unlikely. If Poole win by less than 10 I may hang up my pen, and programme board -

It appears that the chap in the referee box, powdering his nose at the wrong time was Graham Flint. I will just be glad when the kindergarten closes for the season, and we can all get back to important matters. That includes you Starman -

The only word that I can think of to describe BVs performance last night is INEPT. The debacle was surely down to 2 BV riders, Steve Worrall, and Stef Nielson. Worral and Nielson turned in paid 3 points between them whilst their Poole counterparts scored paid 22 points. The BV pair were supposedly one of the strongest reserve pairings in the league. Last night they looked like NL riders. I have to say that I feel sorry for Mark Lemon. He must have been tearing his hair out. The BV "Fightback" hasn't got me convinced at all. Lord Fraud is a business man. I have a feeling that he instructed the Poole team to ease up on the gas later on in the meeting. He could see that the gate money would have been adversely affected for the 2nd leg, if BV had trailed by 8-10 points. I suspect that the 2nd leg is now just a formality. -

Nobody, but nobody, jokes about Lord Fraud.

With a bit of luck BV may go into the 2nd leg with a 6 point lead, but will be swamped at Wimborne Road -

Nice of you to say so, but I fear that it is a cry in the wilderness, or to put it more crudely pi$$ing into the wind -

I will be reasonably happy if he wins heat 1 at Kirky Lane. After all, it doesn't happen very often. -

I would like to think so, but somehow I doubt it If Zagar does ride it will be something of a victory for BV to get a heat advantage in heat 1 -

This year I am in a very difficult situation. I don't really care who wins the play off, as long as its NOT Poole. I feel this way every year. This year it is complicated by the fact that I follow Belle Vue. What a terrible situation to be in. -
I was not at the Abbey tonight, and was not watching on TV, but must say the following. What a sad, sad day for the Robins, and the stadium, which has seen some great riders over the years. The spirits of crAshby, and Bob Kilby, must be weeping. I dread to think of what the greatest of them all, Leigh Adams must think about it. Apart from a couple of riders, the 2015 Robins are a disgrace to a great club.

All this talk of Zagar's "Commitment " to Belle Vue makes me smile. How committed was he at Leicester when he disgraced the Aces bib by tootling around at the back for 3 of his 4 rides, and ended up with 1 point. In many of his other matches, when he missed the gate he seemed quite happy to stooge around at the back, admiring the scenery. His performance in the A fixture at Swindon left a bit to be desired. Was it 2 points ? How many times has he declined to ride in heat 15 ? OK, I know that the match was usually won by then, but were the punters happy to be short-changed ?

Sorry to say it, but that's Poole into the final

I see that Zagar is hoping to be fit for this one ? I view this with mixed feelings. AJ has done a great job for BV so far, and despite the fact that he is not an Ace he is a professional so may do as good a job as Zagar, if not better. My main worry is Cook. He is so up and down, I have a feeling that he may be the weak link. We are perhaps expecting too much of Steve W. and I hope that he performs for us. Lets hope for a good SAFE meeting for all riders, and may the best team win. (Here's hoping its BV)

I think that for quite some time most punters were saying that the BV reserves would win it by overpowering the Robins reserves. I don't think it turned out like that at all. I was quite impressed by the performance of the Robins reserves. I think they will have quite a say in the return at Blunsdon, although Stevie W should collect a few points, after his season there. I am not too sure that 14 points will be enough for BV.
