It's not a bad theory and a bad idea. It works in Poland and also for football and just about any other sport quite frankly. With every winner there has to be loser(s). However, you would have to argue back against it that promotions should of been working within their budgets and means already regardless of a points limit. It never ceases to amaze me how bad some promotion are at handling their business. At Rye House this season there has been a serious misjudgement and they can't lay the blame solely at the door of the BSPA for fixed racenights. Kasprzak should never of been near the team if they were worried about costs.

Think every man and his dog can see that after scoring next to nothing as a heat leader in his first two matches. Time rapidly running out to make use of the extra points available though before the end of the month.

He's injured.

Get real. All it will end up doing is forcing riders out of Britain to ride abroad or just retire.
-
What junk? The only other think you need to do is convert it if transferring between the 2 leagues.
-
Realistically how many actually go to both on a regular basis.... must be less than 10 I expect if that many, so that can't be a reason for swapping back if given the chance from the start of next season.

Riders latest CMA is used, can't get much simpler than that.

Albeit not a big concern at the moment, after switching to Wednesday's and having what looks like a healthy crowd on most occasions, given the choice it'd be interesting to see if we went back to Fridays and fight with the M5 traffic or stick with Wednesdays? Interesting choice.

Fixed race nights... early indications!!!
Najjer replied to Phil The Ace's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I quite agree, and that was why I was wondering how the Championship crowds were. Rumours of 300-500 is frankly shocking. Using Somerset as an example, it was £15 in the 2nd division and now £17 on the top division. So is the top division under priced or the 2nd division over priced as there is still a considerable gap in standard between them. -

Therein lies another problem in itself. Genuine question, as I don't really follow the Chanpionship anymore - what is the general view on crowds like? And are teams believed to be making profit (or at least breaking even) or are they running at a loss? -
Would it really of been that difficult to say something along those lines with their postponement announcement on Tuesday? It just shows how clueless people within Speedway are when it comes to PR. I think 99% of people would of accepted that they are looking to resolve it and wished them well, but the whole "say nothing" approach and keep the fans (the ones who they are going to be desperate for in the coming weeks) in the dark is idiotic in my opinion.

The reality is that the ideal scenario is two leagues: The top division being a mix of this years Premiership sides being joined by the top Championship teams like Sheffield, Ipswich, Edinburgh, Glasgow etc. Pretty much at Premiership standard. The second division being a mix of the bottom lower budgeted Championship sides like Redcar, Berwick etc. And then the National League teams too.

....and there is the ultimate problem with Speedway. All in it for their own personal gains!

Vissing is due to come into some form... I'd have fancied Rebels to hit 55 with him in the team tonight

Surely the best way to prevent speculation would of been to give an explanation as to why it was called off.... Not just treat Rye House fans, Swindon fans and any other Speedway fan as absolute mugs. I never understand why speedway has such a 'closed shop' environment about it. It just doesn't make sense.

27•06•18 - Premiership - Rye House v Swindon
Najjer replied to ReadingRacer2017's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
100% spot on. All this nonsense about there being enough riders for 1 big league too, what happens when say at least 10 riders say "I can't make it pay, I'll just go and do a 9-5 job instead as it pays better" because it gets watered down so much..... -

I was waiting for someone to suggest that.... Speedway fans just don't understand Maths! What would you do the following year when everyone's averages are too high... continue to keep on watering the product down time after time like the BSPA had done for a period of time?! Thankfully they seem to have understood the correct points limit and that has remained in place this season. Continue to water the product down and charge the same is not the answer. -
Be more useful getting the Rubberman in to replace Vissing... couldn't do any worse!

Vaculik is currently just competing in the SGP series and Ekstraliga. Asked if he might consider a return to Britain or Sweden, he replied: “I’m just staying focused on the Grand Prix and Poland. I don’t want to have so many meetings now. I just want to be focused on the main stuff in my speedway career. I’m focused on the GP and the Polish league.” As expected, no Vaculik return to Leicester or the British Leagues....

Somerset v King's Lynn 25/06/18

I only recalled one, so that would be his 3rd maximum at the OTA if that's the case. Quite some record that! -

We could of had Covatti in for Jepperson and kept Wright in the team. Vissing has been woeful and after the Poole meeting needs replacing with someone half decent at this level. -

I was going to say the same thing - I think he must be the first and only rider to have scored 2 full maximums against Somerset. -

Or is this one of your 'Shovlar esq' posts where you're in win-win.... If Kings Lynn win, happy days.... If they lose, you can have a good old moan how they should of won.... happy days. -
VAT on cash in hand?? I'd imagine there's a reason Speedway attendances are never officially revealed!

Thanks IDH - but unfortunately Monday's don't work very well for me so will be missing my first home match of the season tonight. Bit of a shame as think it will be a close one. Rebels to edge it 46-44. Palm Toft although an ex-Rebel, rode 1 meeting for us last year.... and that was an away match! He didn't even ride a home meeting.
