  1. Why do people keep saying about more meetings? Possibly by 1 or 2 over the course of a season but it's not like there will be endless more matches compared to the Premiership. Matter of fact there is less League matches than if we were in the Premiership.
  2. Absolutely - however after watching the likes of Doyle and Jack Holder most weeks and some of the top visiting riders, watching a bunch of National League riders does nothing for me.
  3. These teams suggested so far look shocking. Sign of the times granted but certainly nothing to get excited about.
  4. I'd be very surprised to see Jake riding for Somerset next season.
  5. Shocked and disappointed to say the least. The top league is where it's at and we go back to being a big fish in a small pond. Very disappointing. Presumably we will go back to Friday nights too.
  6. Tomorrow might not be Friday.... the chances are though, is that it will be.
  7. Wright, Holder, Doyle, Allen and Covatti (in that order too) have to be the first 5 names. Not sure how many points that leaves but would make for a decent start. It's fair to say if we hadn't dismissed Wright part way through the year we probably would of won the league as well as the cup.
  8. Doyle, Holder and Allen are musts for next season assuming the league structure allows for it. Lawson has been pretty poor this season considering how good he was last year.
  9. Is Jose Mourinho the best manager in the Premiership at the moment? Nicolas Klindt wouldn't know a good race track if it slapped him round the face!
  10. Id agree with that. He has been absolutely superb and has to be the first name on our team sheet regardless of league structure next year.
  11. Assuming the weather isn't the winner here, this should be a big home win.
  12. If Somerset get a choice in the play offs then I would be choosing Poole personally. Every time we have kept it close or won at Wimborne Road. Worrall has been poor recently and weakens the Pirates considerably now Woryna is in the main body. I'd want to be avoiding Kings Lynn first time around.
  13. That's abit harsh on Covatti who has been absolutely brilliant since signing for us, Wednesday night's score apart. Even in the main body of the team he has scored well both at home and away. As Cliffeboy has eluded to, the biggest problem is Lawson. He just hasn't been winning enough races and the last few times I've seen him has looked well under power. He really needs to be backing up Jack for us to stand a chance.
  14. The only riders currently effected by Wednesdays are Danish riders, who don't ride every week anyway. If the Thursday night went ahead as planned with the ridiculous idea of Thursday Championship clubs riding and taking priority there would be an even bigger problem. As I've said before, a 2nd division should never take priority over the top division. It's absolute criminal that after last night Belle Vue winning at Somerset they now go to Swindon without Craig Cook who is riding for Glasgow.
  15. There has been loads of times when nobody has ridden though. Fixed race nights makes it much easy for planning as there is no need to check rider availability.
  16. All this talk next season of 'one big league' will be an embarresment when half the fixtures aren't run. I know the Easter period was a right off because of the snow and aftermath, but with the summer we have had there is no excuse at all. Fixed race nights should only have helped the cause for rider availability so it is an absolute joke to be scrambling to fit fixtures in right now before the cut off.
  17. It'd be within Poole's interest that Kings Lynn make the play offs I expect, seen as they've battered them recently at Wimborne Road. I always thought of you as being a decent poster until recently where you've posted some absolute nonsense to dig at Poole/Matt Ford.
  18. There was an interesting quote from Tai Woffinden last night who said "if it's raining we can't race in that, but once it's stopped we can get on with it" or words to that effect. That seems totally logical and understandable so I wonder why it isn't adopted in league racing very often.
  19. Jack Holder for me. Gone from a run of the mill second string to an established top line heat leader. What a signing he's been.
  20. Should be a relatively easy Rebels win this one. They should murder Wolves at reserve too. 52-38 for me.
