Many clubs have had race jackets aswell as having matching suits. Wolves did it for a period, Glasgow have in recent times, Poole did back in the early 2000s and Lakeside to name just a few. Both Branney brothers always wore the awful two part attire but that must of been personal preference to them.
-
Exactly what I said earlier on - Glad I’m not the only one.
-
I know - but the wulfsport attire is made to the same design as the others. Every rider’s suit was made by a different manufacturer but to the same design. Black right arm and half a black leg arm. Even John Branney’s wulfsport top and they all include the Thomas Armstrong logo on the right arm. Everybody has the same design on the bottom half too.
-
That was never debated. It’s obviously a race jacket, just as obvious as they are suits all made using the same design - Even John Branney’s wulfsport attire.
-
I think you're wrong in part on this one in that they did all have the same design of suit. https://mike-patrick.com/downloads/workington-3515/ Judging from that picture they all follow the same design albeit made by different manufacturers. They even all have the same Thomas Armstrong logo in the same position on the same arm.

Albeit a somewhat pointless heat formula, the new cup competition in the Premiership offers even more fixtures in the comparison to the Championship. If Somerset were still in the Premiership that would of offered up at least 3 more home meetings. One of the 'positive' reasons for dropping down was for more fixtures but that has now been proven to actually have reduced the amount of fixtures.

By the sounds of it Buster wasn't involved in the negiogations with Harris. Once he realised what sort of deal he had bagged himself, I can't believe he ended up getting the same at Ipswich.
-
There’s every chance Ipswich had money left in their budget and Harris deal was re-negiogated so he is on far less at Ipswich then he was at Peterborough.

Team Suits and/or Race Jackets

Likewise Reading when they were the 'Bulldogs'. Somerset also had matching bike covers in 2008 and 2010. -
No persuasion needed - That's our rules, so follow them or ride for someone else. Interesting that Ipswich have revealed they have team suits and matching team bike covers too - with the main team sponsor taking prime spot on the front of the bike covers too.

Team Suits and/or Race Jackets

And superb they look too! -
Isn't that the point - Big sponsors more than likely won't sponsor at all with an amatuer look. With a more professional image they are more likely to. I still can't believe more teams (if any now actually) don't try and get sponsorship for fork covers. That is prime spot for every photograph being taken and is cheap to get manufactured. Win-Win!

Think that will set the trend for his season - I think he will be one of the best riders in the league come the end of the season. Very jealous about him riding for Redcar.
-
In completely different roles. If you take Somerset's side from last year and then compare it to this years, they are lightyears apart.
-
Is it? Or is the Championship over priced or is the Premiership undervalued? To me the Championship is over priced before starting to bang the good value drum.

"Speedway in East Anglia" is now officially a thing

Jari Makinen was the Finnish rider. There was some absolute dud Poles in Truminski and Mroz too. -
I'd of had Kurtz and Berge out for Wilson-Dean and any other. Much more entertainment value and the strongest top 4 in the league. I can't see the German troubling the scorers too often and Kurtz is alright if he makes the start.
-
I quite agree. I'd imagine the teams that don't start well will be looking to Wilson-Dean, Worrall (although unlikely to fit anywhere) and MacDonald to make big improvements so some clubs will end up missing the boat. FWIW I think Bagpuss' predictions are pretty close to how it will finish albeit with Glasgow lower down.
-
Don't really understand when people say that about making changes. Why not just start with the best team available in the first place if they are prepared to make changes? I don't think Somerset are. When Berge was dumped we should of been making two changes and made sure Wilson-Dean or similar was coming in. No point waiting until you've lost your first few home matches. There is also not enough fixtures now for averages to vary and bring in someone far stronger for a weaker rider and to also gain ground lost early on in the season.
-
Somerset should of just come out and slaughtered him, not tried to protect him about struggling to find a mechanic. Berge simply couldn't be assed and that's that, and in the process completely destroyed Somerset's team further.

Who issues the rights to be able to promote anywhere, the BSPA? I can't imagine that is worth the paper it's written on.
-
I'm sure I've read somewhere that Laura bought the club from Keith Denham for a 6 figure sum of money. How was the club ever worth that sort of money? Genuine question as to what assets in the business would ever equate to anything that was even near to that valuation.

In Gary May's interview he says that Berge told him "You won't change my mind" which implies to me, he simply didn't fancy it, nothing to do with bikes or mechanics.
