  1. Very surprised by this but a welcome addition to the league. A very capable young man who isn’t afraid of tracks which aren’t like a snooker table. Looking forward to seeing how he goes but I think he will be pretty decent.
  2. Precisely this. If they have stopped using the product already then they have either stopped caring or began to care less and less. They have to start getting fans to care again with a good product first and foremost.
  3. I’m not sure that’s strictly true. Laguta is and always has been the type of rider who is electric from the start and won’t be overtaken - it’s basically how he won his world title. He’s never going to be an all action from the back type rider over here as he isn’t even that in Poland.
  4. I’m not saying it is a speedway thing - but the point I’m making is we are quick to judge the ones who done wrong, but why not let us know about the ones who done right aswell?
  5. Imagine what Chris Harris must be like - he must of lost count!
  6. In an effort to be as transparent as possible, I wonder why we only hear about the ones who have failed to complete the process as opposed to those who pass with flying colours?
  7. Originally the Poles (or Latvians in this case) thought he would be able to ride in Poland but that has since changed and he is banned worldwide currently.
  8. I would expect them to say they are very concerned about the accusation and the ban handed out. They will now be speaking with the SCB to find out exactly what the ruling means and clarification on how long Nick Morris could likely be banned for and off the back of this they will then look at any decisions that need to be made with the team. They should absolutely want to distance themself from anybody not playing by the correct rules and criteria and will wait for the outcome of the SCB hearing but remain committed to fielding the best team possible on track at their next match and beyond…. That’s what I would expect and hope for, something along those lines - not silence.
  9. I find it mind blowing Leicester haven’t made a statement on this - all they have done is share the SCB news bulletin. One of your riders has just been banned for a serious offence and they’ve said nothing!!! It honestly frustrates me how bad some of these promotions are at communication and it’s not even my team.
  10. Utter rubbish - regardless of whose fault it was, you put on a sub standard product then you can’t expect people to pay for it… and if you do expect that, don’t expect them to return in the future, which has for a long time been speedway’s biggest issue. I myself provide a service to my customers on a daily service and if I provided a poor product or service, then I wouldn’t expect people to pay me just because it might mean my business would close. It’s down to me to keep my customer’s happy.
  11. Which is equal to nothing - no explanation at all.
  12. So we are nearly 17/18 hours after the alleged incident happened - and we have still heard nothing. That is poor to say the least.
  13. It’s quite possible that Brady was happy to break even whereas Buster isn’t happy unless he is making money, which is what he would want from the TV money? Interesting to know how much the TV money is, as others previously quoted that it was peanuts.
  14. Interesting - as grandstands are a huge luxury that isn’t needed. Grass banking would more than suffice in the early days.
  15. What are the estimated costs involved in turning a field into a stadium venue?
  16. There is an ongoing theme here though….
  17. I cleaned the toilets and cut the grass earlier at home, so wind yer’ neck in… nothing to do with me!
  18. Blimey, I knew it was bad and hence starting this thread - but it’s even more of a mess than I had first expected!
  19. Onto the important stuff - Whose going to clean the air fence and toilets now?
  20. This is the problem though - then if you’ve got to the point where you no longer want that or can justify it for the price being offered then that is the choice to make. You shouldn’t be expected to keep paying out money for something that you no longer enjoy. I’ve said many times, this is exactly the scenario I had at Somerset. I stopped paying to go every week and picked and chose before eventually practically missing every week. I was really sad when the team closed down but life goes on and you get over it. Even with hindsight that wouldn’t of changed anything I did with my level of support beforehand.
  21. Are you sure that’s right? I’m happy to be corrected but I don’t think it’s legal to sponsor people on others behalf’s. There was a whole host of issues of this years ago when riders didn’t have the correct visas and then chopping and changing sides mid season. Tarasenko doesn’t ride for Plymouth or work for any of Philips’ businesses.
  22. Out of interest, everybody keeps referring to Lambert saying “as it is” in his interview, but for those of us who haven’t seen it, what’s a quick summary of what he said?
