With normal scoring I would agree but quite easy to pull that back over 6 rides against the calibre of rider in Milik, who like you said has been poor all year, especially against the big boys.
-
This is why I think Lambert -5 over Milik could be a good’un. I can’t see Lambert being replaced and Milik just isn’t very good!
-
Russia -2 over Denmark??
-
Czech under 17 looks decent too unless I’m being daft?? Minimum of 12 points. That means they need to place above that at least 5 positions. With their pairing I’m not sure I can see that happening

Lambert -5 over Milik looks decent value for me. 5 points sounds like a lot but in this format it’s not masses really, and I don’t see Milik troubling the scorers too often.

Can somebody remind me, are jokers allowed in the SON?

I usually only bet stakes between £15 and £25 or so for abit of fun, but ended the season £400 up especially after the balls up they made on the Bydgoszcz match in the last match of the season... so could of been worse! Gutted to have missed Russia each way now though!
-
That’s a joke in itself isn’t it - thousands allowed in on Friday and nobody on Saturday as announced mid week.
-
Missed a trick here as I’ve just checked and this is no longer available.... and I didn’t place the bet before! Getting top 3 out of 7 teams would of been easy money too

Me too - The cut back seems to be a thing of the past in this country yet that has to be the most common overtake in Poland. I think the racing and sheer aggression is unrivalled in Poland personally.

There has been plenty of examples in Poland this year where team riding is very much alive. Many times I can think of when Grigori Laguta, Bartosz Zmarzlik (usually with Jack Holder) and Piotr Pawlicki have all team ridden with their partners in great fashion. Oskar Fajfer is another in Division 1 who is always looking for his team mate. There was a race recently when he was trying to team ride Kevin Fajfer home for a 5-1 before Jonas Jeppeson pipped Kevin on the run to the line, but it was almost perfection from Oskar. Granted it's not as often you see it anymore, but there is some riders who still absolutely nail it.

I think there is a number of reasons. He’s no longer classed as a junior rider so would need to ride in the main 1-5 of the team, otherwise I can’t imagine Leszno would be letting him go. They already have Lidsey as their U24 rider and whilst they are being linked with riders like Jason Doyle, it would be a straight toss up between him and Kubera. Kubera himself said after the play off final that he wanted to ‘spread his wings’ and go somewhere else to learn more and become a better rider. He said aswell he would want to return to Leszno in years to come further down the line.

The original Speedway World Cup was always one of the highlights of the year. There used to be some epic meetings using the 4 teams of 5 format. Ironically, even with that format I think Russia would probably take some stopping... unless you hold a few rounds at Lakeside or Eastbourne again

Presumably Max Fricke whose birthday is the end of March next year, where he turns 25, could be frozen out also. He will be too old to qualify for one of the under-24 team positions and looks unlikely to fit in at Wroclaw if they sign Artem Laguta as expected and keep Tai Woffinden. Not really much room left for him to go anywhere else other than Zielona Gora or into Division 1. Not ideal for a Grand Prix rider! Wroclaw I would also presume are likely to end up with Laguta and Woffinden as their overseas riders, Janowski with options to declare Chugonov as the other Pole or the under 24 rider along with Dan Bewley.

Rumblings of Torun choosing between Tobiasz Musielak and Adrian Miedzinski for one of their senior Polish riders in their team, with others suggesting they take a punt on Gregorz Zengota. Personally speaking I wouldn't have Miedzinski anywhere near my team but he's obviously been at Torun in the past for a number of years. I have also updated the post on the first page to now include teams 'outgoing riders' so that it's easy to track who has left and where they have gone to.

To an extent - but using your example of football, isn't this just the same as a team winning every game in the group stages, beating everybody 5-0 in the knockout stages and then losing to a team whose scraped into the final? My personal view is that a 'final race' is always needed as it mantains excitement and unpredictability right until the final heat of the night. Otherwise the meeting could be over by the half way point and it creates abit of a non event and anti climax.

Russia each way now seems a good bet already!

Kulakov ruined it for me throwing away heat 14, but I still end the night in profit thanks to Miedzinski! I think this weekend has to be my biggest profit of the whole season across a weekend! What an end to the season

I took Toruń on the +1.5 too, could be a good’un!
