  1. I thought the same! Still tempted by Cierniak -3 over Pludra too Rasmus Jensen under 9 potentially for Gdansk too
  2. A shame really as Zagar was superb for most of last year and looked really settled at Lublin - not so much at Zielona Gora!
  3. I’ve gone with Laguta -2 over Zagar at evens which I thought was pretty good odds. Laguta with the tougher heats but well capable of beating anybody. As an outside bet, Cierniak -3 over Pludra is decent odds too
  4. Two more and one tied handicap.... I got Gorzow at -6 before heat 14 too, all in all another successful evening!
  5. Even with his recent dire form, when you look at his heats tonight you’d fancy Holder to score over 5 at evens too
  6. Lindgren exactly and under 11? Jasinski -2 over Lewandowski?
  7. Any bets on Batchelor tonight, easy money!
  8. Danny King +1 over Batchelor at 8/11 represents great value I think
  9. Potentially 7 rides in it for him... although I highly expect he could take 12 rides and still not score over 12! Seems a good shout to me
  10. Rubbish. I’m fairly certain that riders in Poland are being required to submit their covid test in Poland 24 hours before their matches. That means, he must be in Poland on Thursday to test to be able to ride Friday. I’m not saying it’s right but that’s the way it is. Peoole quoting Britain getting priority on a Thursday and then bowing down to the Poles are deluded. This again is a knock on effect to the balls up to the team building rules set out. Anybody riding in the Esktraliga shouldn’t of been allowed to ride in this country due to the commitments of Friday fixtures in Poland. No Esktraliga riders and 6 man teams for this year.
  11. Would be interesting to hear his take on things. It wasn’t that long ago he was on the radio saying about assembling a team for next year as Somerset would be back and would be looking to hold the pairs this year. Maybe he’s been strung along like everybody else when it was pretty clear what was happening? I expect to see him back at Poole fairly soon. Good luck to him as he’s one of the most astute team managers about.
  12. The sentiment is effectively “we’re closing - we aren’t saying anymore about it.” - that doesn’t come across very well to be honest. Especially when everybody who has been associated with the club has been thanked.... except the ones who kept the club going, the fans.
  13. It’s tragic really when you think over the last 20 years or so, the loss of Trelawny, Exeter, Newport, Reading, Swindon and now Somerset. That was one of the main cores of the league back in 2002/2003. Some great times visiting those places.
  14. I think it would need more than that. Out of curiosity, I wonder what offers/help was offered to keep the venue going?
  15. Not that I’m suggesting it’s an issue for a couple of hours on the odd evening whatsoever - but the bikes can be heard from the middle of Burnham, which is abit different to the motorway.
  16. This is the nail well and truly hit on the head. Many promotors tried before the Hancock’s (Hewlett, Toogood, Golding, Pavitt and even Mark Saunders and co from Sharp amongst others) but ultimately if the Hancock’s can’t make it pay, or can earn a lot more from other avenues, when they owned the food/drink, car park, land and just about everything else in between - then there is no chance of leasing that to someone else. Somerset has I feel been somewhat in reverse and on the wind down since our final season in the Premiership. A very attractive team and the World Champion in a bid to conquer everything didn’t come cheap and was, in my opinion, the beginning of the downward spiral to where we are today. As I said earlier, such a huge shame for it to end this way.
  17. The writing has been on the wall for some time. Units being built on the land, pulling out of the league and then the clubhouse being sold. I’m surprised it’s taken this long. Another club gone and another should and could of been the blueprint for British Speedway for years to come. Thanks for the memories down the years - there has been some amazing times and following my side up and down the country and beyond. Such a shame to end like this.
  18. Szostak off scratch vs Szczotka seems good value to me aswell at 19/20
  19. Oskar Fajfer over 8 seems decent value from 6 rides too
  20. Gomolski exactly and under 11 for me at 13/10 represents great value today in my opinion
  21. I wish I had. I had managed to break even on the first match after covering myself on the handicap and then the last 2 heats of the Wroclaw match cost me £40
  22. I had Gorzow on -6 early doors, just waiting for them to come on offer at +6 to cover my losses now!
  23. Wojdylo -2 over Ernest Koza seems good value at 8/11 to me Tempted on Curyztek at +1 over Rempala at 11/8 too
