Sheffield vs Ipswich 13th May

Lewi Kerr on his way back in? -
They started at 4/5 but odds have tumbled -8 for me all day long
-
He signed for Somerset in the then Premier League and never looked back - a real story of how he went on to become British Champion

Here here. I’ve tried to refrain from commenting on this thread for some time but the utter disrespect and disregard honestly makes me sick, more so after his second post. The blame game of others and arrogance around some of his wording like “that’s impressive” - There is nothing impressive when it comes to recording young boys/girls on beaches and people in toilets. The sheer arrogance to come waltzing back into this forum shows he is deluded. I have a child and this sort of offence and anything of the like, is what I see to be the worst of the VERY worst. I would go to the end of the world to protect my son from people like that, contaminating our earth.

King’s Lynn Stars v Leicester Lions - Thursday 9th May

I’m going to presume a massive oversight on Chapman’s behalf in that he’s only just realised the Poles are already booked in for that evening - which he’s now trying to backtrack and lie about to cover his own behind. -

Unfortunately whenever there is a rider missing for whatever reason, it should NEVER make the team stronger than it was before. This is where the UK speedway set up is so wrong in that it insists on making guests more appealing than ever before. -

It turns out the Polish federation actually announced these dates at the tail end of January - so it shouldn’t be a big surprise to anybody. -

So basically the BSPL said don’t postpone it and Buster carried on anyway. -
Witches v Lynn May 6th 2.15pm

There are many promotors with many faults in this country, but Chris Louis ranks up there with one of the best. Instead of getting the begging bowl out, sometimes it goes a long way when it hasn’t quite gone to plan to show your appreciation for those who have spent their hard earned dosh. -

What’s interesting is that 2 weeks ago, a member of this forum posted in the international section saying about the 4 quarter finals to be held on this date, before Kings Lynn’s last home match. It’s interesting the timing of this announcement after Woyldo scored a maximum in the last match. Would it be the same stance if he had scored 2 or 3? It absolutely stinks to postpone a match because there is one rider missing, regardless of how much notice has or hasn’t been given. -
LIONS v BIRMINGHAM 25/4/24
Najjer replied to justathought's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
What use is that today in the Premiership? There is a reason that for a couple of years at least Zagar has started the season without a Premiership and Polish club - purely because he asks for too much money vs his scoring ability. -
As has already been stated, it is not the bottom league of Poland at all. The standard is actually very good and features several Premiership ‘stars’ in the league like Kurtz, Holder, Tungate, Klindt, Musielak etc to just a few, plus Grand Prix rider Kai Huckenbeck. Because he wasn’t good enough first time around, Luke Becker has just been dropped by his team over there too - that shows you the type of standard that it is.

Yeah probably get a 90 day ban in November

Couldn’t agree with all of your points any more if I tried.

Ipswich vs Oxford 18th April
Najjer replied to Arch Stanton's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
That seems bonkers. Losing a rider because of injury or whatever reason should inevitably make your team weaker, that is the reality of it. Unfortunately they have now created a scenario where not only are you no longer weaker but you are actually far stronger. When riding at home with no logical reason using maths and statistics, you can get a guest with a higher percentage average than the missing rider. We now even have a scenario at Oxford where they’ve sacked and replaced a rider in Klindt, for Riss whilst keeping an injured rider in the side. There is no way that the league should of accepted that redecoration and the use of guests like Nicholls now. -

And get riders taking guest bookings and scoring nothing so it then lowers their average? That would be a daft idea. -

Not that it takes much, but Nicholls has outsmarted the rule makers/promotors. He technically signed for Wolves last year and has signed for Birmingham this year thus meaning he continues on a rolling average of not alot (not his Chanpionship converted) without guest bookings effecting that. He can continue to take guest bookings and scoring heavily without it effecting his average, picking and choosing which meetings he does to go alongside his TV work. -

Dont get me started…. -
Did you see Janowski’s opening match for Wroclaw? He was far worse for them than he has been for Oxford!
-
I see Vaculík has been mentioned on Facebook, although no idea how reliable that is….
-
Something tells me this is just the first move to make points available with a new signing on its way for Kerr
-
Klindt sacked - Riss in!
-
Yep, saved by the rain thankfully
-
Birmingham to win at 4/5 tonight - nice and simple
-
I think it’s a good point that Wolves usually visited on bank holiday, so the likes of Masters, Becker and Douglas won’t of visited much in recent years except Monday lunchtime - which the track will be far different to that tonight
