  1. No they couldn't, because Complin is useless around the OTA.
  2. Great news, the return of the Wizard to the OTA! Be sure to come up and say hello, I'll be in the usual Najjer corner assuming that I get there earlier enough which I've failed to do the past few weeks! In Weston at the moment they have their own version of the London Eye for the Summer albeit very pricey. Should head for Burnham, the town that has Britains shortest Pier, Britains smallest lighthouse and the 2nd fastest tide in the whole world! That's about the best claims to fame as it gets in Burnham though! See you there Merlin
  3. It's like a Ghost Town at the moment, everything seems to be closing.
  4. Nothing to do in Highbridge, better to do what Phil said and spend the day in Burnham which is a few minutes up the road - It's also where I live! Weather is meant to be nice, so going up on the sea front could be an option for an hour or two and get something to eat along the sea front or through the high street.
  5. Rides in Poland on a Sunday, so that won't be happening anytime soon.
  6. Think you will find it was Jason Doyle who got the luck in that race.. I was about to say, it normally takes us no more than 30-45 minutes to get from Somerset to Newport.
  7. You can't support Johno without supporting the King of Cool.. 3rd time lucky for the Super Swede Emil Kramer
  8. Give over! It's clear as day that Kings Lynn and Somerset start as favourites.
  9. Can't see that happening, especially after last night. Its a well known fact that Grieves is awful at Somerset and he hates riding at the place hence why he pulled out last year for Redcar and Proctor rode in his place. Edinburgh's Ryan Fisher and Matthew Wethers were awesome last night and would take some beating on last nights showing. Not sure what the averages allow as Wethers is fairly low down in the pecking order I think, but for at Somerset that is the correct pair to chose assuming they are allowed.
  10. Simply because the current format, and the best format, doesn't allow for it. Plus, it is the BEST Pairs afterall.
  11. Unsure whether I'll be in attendance or not, with The King riding it's a possibility. I shouldn't laugh... but.. what the hell..
  12. As I've previously posted, there is no chance of that happening. Karlsson pathetic earlier in the year at the OTA.
  13. That was the option allowed last year I believe - any 2 of your top 3. Redcar chose Ty Proctor in place of James Grieves, which Proctor was actually 3rd in the averages at the time.
  14. That doesn't matter - Whoever was in Heat 15 was irrelevant, it was just the teams points from Heat 15 that mattered and not which riders it was.
  15. Absulate awful news for Newport and Wato. Was a horrible crash, and dare I say it but I said at the time it reminded me very much of the Garry Stead crash at Somerset which ended his racing career. All the best to both Wato and Doyley.
  16. I know he's bloody good, but even he isn't that good surely? I'm assuming it's Proctor at No.13?
  17. No, that honour went to Rye House at their Press day the other day. Should be a good meeting - I'll be there
  18. In which case, you can't forget something you don't know
  19. It's a miracle - you mentioned 3 names and none of them were Rymel, Doolan or Roynon!
  20. I seem to remember him having a similar type of race with Doyley like he had had the previous season with Zorro. As you say though, both times in the League at our place he was just simply awesome.
  21. Parker and Grieves are normally terrible around the OTA, especially Grieves. Although as mentioned if Workington go with Doolan and Roynon then they could well be onto a winner before the meeting even starts. Doolan has always scored well here, as has Roynon after scoring 16 (..from memory) last season.
