  1. I don't think I've ever seen one complaint about the Pairs at Somerset except from Newport fans. The three times it's been held at Somerset, it's always produced good ENTERTAINMENT and Somerset havn't ever won it even when we've had the likes of Zetterstrom, Doyle, Johnston and Kramer in the side. Sheffield still seems a good venue for the PLRC in my eyes, but I wish the Fours would be moved.
  2. Hazarding a guess, I presume it's because Hawkins has ridden more than 6 meetings this year (albeit for Sheffield) whereas Burza hasn't yet done this. Like I said, only a guess but seems reasonable enough in my eyes.
  3. Triple bad news for me, seems Rymel and Ward are now riding to limit the Rebels chances a little bit further although we should make the final at least. Anything can happen after the way we rode last year with almost half the team injured or away. Worst bit of news however, is that the Super7even girls are going to be there and I'm not. Gutted.
  4. No. Ask Main Man instead, he'll give you some of his wisdom.
  5. He forget to say why he was cheering for them though... just so he could attempt to wind me up about the King, yes, Emil Kramer who rode the race of his life to put the Rebels in the Final.. You know the one Shame he rode like Scott Nicholls in the final as oppose to usual immaculate self.
  6. Couldn't agree more, it was a decent meeting but didn't live upto 2008. I mentioned it to Merlin on Friday, I think the difference this year is that alot of teams built their teams with strength in depth rather than have an out and out heat leader unlike Somerset, Kings Lynn and Workington. You think about it, over the Winter the Premier League lost the likes of Doyle, Woffinden, Nermark, Nieminen, Barker and Ostergaard to name just a few and that will hit home in the Super7even events this year.
  7. Just from memory to name some... Ward on Johnston in Heat 1. Sundstrom around Topinka. Fisher around Grieves. Proctor I seem to remember rounding someone. Proctor also went from nearly 2nd to the back. The Somerset pair between them must have had about 5 or 6. I'm sure there is a few more that I missed, but that is roughly about 10 already.
  8. From memory, I'm sure PhilK said he counted 13 out of 20 races where there was passing. That isn't bad going at all.
  9. Ah yes, that was Andrew Tully who was beaten by the might of Tom Brown. The race I was referring to was his last race against from memory was Birmingham
  10. Hey enough of it. You were left speechless.. well.. sort of.. after his heroic Semi Final ride. If he hadn't produced the ride of the night, we would never of been there in the first place. Which reminds me, what happened to "Flyin' Ryan" Fisher in his final ride against Glasgow? Did he also.. blow it?
  11. It's almost like everyone is surprised Colin Meredith served up such a slick track, and an awful one by the sounds of it.. I wasn't there today as I chose to work instead, seems like I made a good choice judging by the comments made already. At least most people would of had a good weekend still with decent meetings at the Pairs Friday and the GP last night.
  12. As proved in the first Semi when he totally missed the start and rounded both Comets on the 3rd and 4th bend. Cool as you like. Don't be so inept, just because the texter hasn't sent through each pass for the updater to put on the updates site, doesn't mean it didn't happen. For someone to sit at home and say it was a poor meeting is beyond a joke. Admittedly it wasn't as good racing-wise as last season but it had a hell of a lot to live upto, but that doesn't take it away from being a decent meeting which if you was there, you might of been able to see for yourself. Well done Brummies, they were awesome in their last 4 races. Everyone knew the system at the start, and it's the same for everyone
  13. I've been about 2minutes down the track for the whole day and everywhere is drying up nicely, the track has had a lot of water due to the rain and should be in perfect condition assuming we have no more rain. Boy it's gonna' be a good'un
  14. Glastonbury won't make one bit of difference, everyone would of got there on Wednesday. Edit: Like a bloody monsoon outside at the moment, got thunder, lightning and lots and lots and lots of rain!
  15. They qualified using last years GSAs. Should be an awesome race track then
  16. Main Man seems to think he's going to become World Champion, therefore he must be good
