  1. Complete and utter rubbish. Newman got out of shape going round bend 2 and lifted, before correcting this and then Schramm went straight through the side of him, hence how Schramm was shaken completely out of control going into turn 3. Newman had the line and Schramm went straight through him. I was stood on the backstraight and this took place literally metres away from me - so much so you could even hear Schramm apoligise to Newman afterwars, even if Kyle wasn't willing to accept that and you can't blame him. Either way the referee had to exclude Schramm and Morris, or Newman and Gathercole... not the way he called it. For what it's worth I feel Morris was rightfully excluded.
  2. If that's the Admirals Table at Dunball as you come into Bridgwater, if you eat there you at some point you won't be disapointted - superb place.
  3. Is that including in him completing running Kyle Newman into the fence? Completely outragous move and unbelievably went completely unnoticed by the referee, which had to be one of the worst refereeing decisions I've seen at Speedway since awarding Jason Doyle 3rd at the Pairs in 2008. Had to laugh at the Plymouth fans on the back straight "he never touched him" - comical.
  4. They aren't the only ones - I'm by no means calling for his head, but Tom Perry is seriously going to have to start upping his game. After having a season to find his feet, he should of been kicking on this season. However Stefan has come in and completely over shadowed Tom and the pressure must be building as a score of 1+1 on your home track simply isn't good enough. I said it earlier on in the thread too, but other than one poor away meeting at Ipswich which was somewhat surprising, Stefan has been a revelation for us as far as I'm concerned so far.
  5. I must of imagined Alex's outside bursts throughout the meeting, not to mention Josh's ride of death around the outside in heat 15 to win us the meeting. Don't get me wrong I've seen the track in alot better shape but it had nothing to do with tonight's (lack of) performance as the track is the same for both sides so looking for excuses like that is clutching at straws somewhat. Full marks to Alex and Josh especially who were superb for us, and credit to Stefan too who effectively won us this meeting. I've cant remember seeing Doyley ride so bad though, which was very surprising as his total lack of power, especially away from the tapes.
  6. Not likely, especially with the rolling averages - even more so as these meetings don't count towards that.
  7. The sun is shining as I speak.. Track should be perfect tonight with the earlier rain. You still going on about this?! Anyone would think you got raped or something. Get over it and enjoy your speedway.
  8. Won't make a blind bit of difference... I can't understand a word you say anyway!
  9. Nothing wrong with some of the 80s music, it's the Country and Western and 'Highway to the Dangerzone' spaced out in between races to last about half an hour that I can't stand. To be fair she was probably right too
  10. He isn't kidding though Cliffe - the presentation music wise seems to be worse than ever, the same rubbish music played over an awful sound system.
  11. Shame I'm out tonight as this has the makings of a cracker all over it after both teams impressive wins last night. Get the feeling Ryes strength in depth will see them through in the end, but only just.
  12. What do Ipswich do to their number 1s? I've seen Barker ride a hell of a lot over the past few years and I can never recall him as poor as that, even going back to his Stoke days. Some desperate riding and just completely out paced and never looking upto it. Likewise Lanham, normally scores pretty well at the Oak Tree but looked like a wobbly second halfer out there tonight, poor showing from him. I thought this Ellis guy was meant to be averaging nearly 6 people predicted pre season, not a chance on that showing. A long way off Premier League standard it seems. The only Witches rider to come away with any credit was Tungate, who at least looked half up for it. A poor poor showing overall from the Witches though. Meanwhile on the other side of the pits, Doyle untouchable, Davies looking stunning as was Grajczonek after his opening ride and Morris as entertaining as ever. A good team performance all round, with Nielsen impressing massively also. On another issue, whose bright idea was it to park cars 3 deep in the car park?
  13. Considering how early the team was finalised and announced, one would of assumed Ricky Kling who has guested for Rye House in the past would of been the perfect shoe in. You'd also have to assume he'd come at a much greater cost than Simon Lambert which backs up your last sentence.
  14. They are one rider away from being real contenders, especially if it meant getting Garrity to reserve.
  15. I don't want to blow his trumpet too much Cliffe, but Alex looked the real deal yesterday. After watching him at Poole in the morning where he looked not only determined but looked completely at home in Elite League surroundings and was mixing it in the first turns too. I had high hopes for him last night and he didn't let us down, when he missed the start he was straight in the dirt and looked mega impressive. I know he's not faired too well when I've seen him down Plymouth before so tonight will be interesting - I said over the winter he needs to be around the 7 mark for us to have a good season and I know it's early doors but he looks on the right path. Kyle equally was as impressive last night, passing people inside and outside for fun, and has previously showed a liking for the tricky Plymouth track. Another real test for him tonight though as now he's a second string it will be interesting to see what he can contribute whilst not having the joy of being at reserve. Nick's going to be one of the League's top performers for sure this year and on a few occasions last night could of done with the track being that little bit bigger as he makes Claus Vissing look boring.. so tonight could get fun!
  16. Me personally, I didn't care less as they aren't riding for my team. If it happened between two Somerset riders, and one of them came to grief, I'd be pretty peeved about it. So to answer your question, no, that isn't what team Speedway is all about, team mates racing eachother for a bigger pay packet.
  17. We already had Proctor and Schramm going at it for 2 laps last night to get 2nd place instead of a 3rd - absolute ridiculous to be honest.
  18. That was in an official meeting though. Still, it's nearly April so let the rule bending commence!
  19. You also seem to forget TNT that Berwick, Edinburgh, Redcar and Rye House are the only teams not to track a British reserve who is currently riding in the National League this year - however Rye House's team also includes Jason Garrity and Simon Lambert both of whom have spent time developing from the National League in recent seasons. Meanwhile Somerset and Newcastle are the only teams to include all British reserves with Nielsen + Perry, and S Worral + Kerr... plus Newman and R Worral who are now becoming established PL riders. Just where exactly out of your list of riders, do you expect any of them to fit into the Premier League, and who for? If I was building a team not one of those names mention would feature in any of my teams.
  20. I think it was two changes, followed by another to bring Irving in - and I'd say the signing of Morris was massive, yep.
  21. Signing Nick Morris, as well as dropping that Aussie at the start of the season who clearly wasn't upto the mark after his injury.
