  1. I think it could make a big difference - I'd imagine we want to avoid Ipswich at all costs in the initial play off mini groups.
  2. Be a couple more weeks until you enjoy my company again then, as I'm not there tonight but am next week! Matt Wethers always scores a shedload at our place, so should score masses down at reserve.
  3. And yet you started the thread off by saying "shame on you" to Somerset fans because they have chose not to start a thread - what a complete contradiction and the same usual drivel from you. Onto tonight's match, I can honestly say that is one of the best meetings I've seen this year I think in terms of close racing, some races were just unreal. Matter of fact, I'd go as far to say the racing served up this season has been the best for many a year - certainly helped by the type of riders in our side for sure.
  4. I'd agree with that - Konopka and Benko were always desting to be failures.
  5. To a certain extent, but previously Fricke had passed Morris on the inside, and then vice versa... Just to prove what an excellent race track Somerset is. Is that bitterness at the way he blitzed Craig Cook whilst on a tactical? He has been absolutely stunning at home this year.
  6. They were pretty poor, Craig Cook especially and Sam Masters too who was looking desperate at times. Would love to see a video of heat 15, which had to be seen to be believed - not only Morris and Fricke passing and repassing eachother for the lead, but Brady with the ride of the season coming from last to second on the final lap. Stunning ride.
  7. The home fans weren't too impressed either when it was announced, as Eddie is usually half decent value around our place. We should hit 60 tomorrow based on Ryes performance tonight, they were beyond woeful tonight.
  8. RebelwonderKid was on here moaning and clutching at straws at just about anything he could think of - other than that, there hasn't been many gripes from Somerset fans, myself included.
  9. I hope for your sake the rest of your team turn up this time instead of just Kennett - Bunyan was even worse for Sheffield the other week than he has been on both visits for Rye... and that's saying something! This should be another thrashing assuming the weather holds up!
  10. Think there was only one fan on here moaning about it, and then Starman too...
  11. Get on you Rebels! Just rewards for Olly Allen who has been superb in the last few months and Charles Wright who has been our best all round rider this season. Chuffed to see Nick return to form and Pontus continue with his consistent solid self. Seems Brady chipped in as and when too, cracking team performance so chuffed as nuts for them.
  12. Plenty of drama in heat 13, which added to a great nights entertainment even more - but regardless of Skidmore's toys coming out the pram and becoming the pantomime vilan, the right decision was 100% made on that. Would much appreciate seeing the videos - Wright was in breath taking form all night!
  13. He was stunning, his last to first in heat 8 being the pick of the bunch. He got us out of deep hole tonight in another brilliant meeting.
  14. Another brave decision but the promotion which they got plenty of stick for, much like the sacking of Sam Masters and Stefan Nielsen in times gone by... But more often than not, they get it right. That's just 3 decisions they've off the top of my head.
  15. Enjoyed that thoroughully, been a few seasons now since I last went to Sheffield but it's still as good as I remember it. Some cracking races, and a whole new experience watching my team from the comfort of my sofa. A meeting that both sides can be proud of. I also echo what most people have said with regards Andre, terrible looking crash at the worst possible time and place on the track. All the best to him.
  16. From last nights programme, and not including Ipswich, Charles Wright away average is an impressive 6.33 - much to Superstar1's annoyance.
  17. Josef Franc is one of the biggest gating tarts going, so quite simply - no.
  18. Is the SWC being shown on tele at all? If so, what channel?
  19. Well firstly, it was great to be back for a league meeting at the OTA - it's been a long old time, which shown in the first few races as it took us a little while to get going before running away with it mid meeting. Some absolute belting racing mind - Heat 11, Heat 13 and Heat 15 all brilliant, not to mention Nick Morris coming off 15 metres and many other great races. Danny King was superb, a real classy rider and stunning race with Nick Morris where they passed and repassed in heat 13 - by far the best visiting rider to the OTA this year. Nearly every race had something going on, it was a brilliant meeting! Stuart Robson started badly with the tapes offence and was poor in his next, before he started to come to the party and had a cracker with Brady in heat 12 with Brady riding a stormer to win it. I expected so much more from Lewis Kerr who was literally non existent all night long. How has Chris Mills become so poor? He was dire. Lindgren wasn't much better, gated okay but soon went backwards. Lewis Rose deserved a lot more than 1 point, good gating again but eaten up by the Rebels but always in the mix - should be at reserve and being in the main body can't be doing him any good at all. Simon Nielsen started well with a win and was poor there after, and a sickening crash too - can still hear his screams now from when he was led on the track. Very nasty. Newcastle were as poor as the scoreline suggests, aswell as the Rebels being good - but a cracking meeting in terms of the racing on track with some top riders too. Glad to hear that - could of been alot worse.
  20. Hit the nail on the head, and potentially the reason why so few Rebels fans don't post on this forum anymore so they don't have to be assoicated with him. I've read this thread from near enough the very beginning, and has been the best debate on here for quite some time whether Morris should of gone or not - until Starman came along with his "facts" and ruined it from then on in. When on the terraces last Friday, me and the other 4 people that I stand with all said the same that as much as we hated to say it, looks like Nick was at fault and was going to be excluded. Now when I've watched it back on Sky, I'm not so sure - it's one of those which could of gone any way really. As it turns out, it was a disapointting decision from a neutral and Somerset fans point of view but such is life and I won't lose any sleep over it.
  21. There is two seperate toilet blocks - how many toilets do you need?
  22. Should of done Pontins, that would of been an experience and a half!
  23. ... and the flip side to that is that if the Brit's averages were high enough, they would have qualified for selection. Interesting too that Barker has $hit on Plymouth from a great height. Cook rode for Edinburgh when he was a track reserve previously but Barker clearly doesn't fancy it.
  24. Barker on the other hand a few years back went to Cardiff instead of the Pairs.
